I just want to say that it makes me proud how we all pulled together to aid Virex in his grand decision. What a community feeling we've got going on here.

This thread has gotten thinking about footwear, and how! I've seen people wearing flip flops while out on the town, and I've been getting envious. I look down at my socks and shoes and feel prudish and layered. Wow, it would feel so good to go free and easy with some 'flops. The closest thing I have are some wal-mart cheapo "extreme sports" type of rubber footwear - fake surfing footwear I wear in mountain streams and such.
