Forum Upgrade
« on: August 12, 2004, 05:57 PM »
The forums have been upgraded to the latest and greatest software version. This is a huge coding change and many, many new features are now available. Go ahead and look around for yourself, let me know what you think, and tell me if you have any problems.

Looking good so far....

This forum style looks really familiar. Are you using Proboards? vBulletin?

This is Simple Machines. The creators of our previous software, YaBB, discontinued that line of forums and have been working for over a year on this new software. Same people, different name.

"Top 5 Hotties" has almost as many views as the Saga, Other Toy Lines, and Other Collectibles forums do posts--combined.

That would explain it. . .   :D

Looks like a lot more options available to us.

Noticed the "delete yourself" option was still there, though, which I'm sure has two or three members breathing a sigh of relief. . .

I'm still messing with settings. You can no longer delete yourself though.  ;)

Uh...  Is "****" now considered a bad word?   :P

I see over in the **** forum that it's been replaced with "****" everywhere...

EDIT:  Guess so.  That word would be "****", less one "e" there...

Damn, can't even do that.  Let's try this:  F E E D B A C K

Wha'?  I'm talking about the fact that the word "f e e d b a c k" is no longer allowed on the boards here, so take it outta the profanity filter fool!   :-*

Hope you enjoyed that while it lasted, 'cause that's not supposed to be a "public" page.  Sorry!   :-\

Hey, bring back the Stats page!

I dig the stats and stuff, and it's not like there's anything compromised by them being made public.

I'd just prefer to keep those private as some may see them as being intrusive, etc. It's a little issue I have, and would prefer to keep them private.

Woah.  I dig the new Private Messages setup now.  Much more manageable.  Hell, I might even delete a few of my old ones now that I have that option next to each individual one!   8)

Also loads about 200x faster for me now that they (1,000+) don't all get flushed out onto one page.

Lovin' it!
