**** it, never mind. Just read this on the 10c site:

December 20, 2004
Fan club single:
We sincerely apologize but in spite of our best intentions, it now looks like the holiday single won't be shipping until, we hope, Monday, December 27. We thank you for your patience and we wish you the best of the holiday season. Peace to all.

I'm curious, Dec. 27th of what year?  ;) It's still earlier than last year's.

No sign of it yet, but if they shipped it the 20th I expect to have it next week some time.

December 23rd is Ed's birthday.

So the local rock station decided to play something that wasn't from the 'Ten' album in his honor.

'Twas Corduroy, and it was a nice Festivus gift. (There are gifts on Festivus, right?)

I thought I'd share a link to a site my friend showed me tonight. It's a Grateful Dead site which has live recordings of Dead concerts. But they also have a miscellaneous section which includes about a dozen Pearl Jam shows. I was happy to find they have a couple of shows which I tapes from the radio back in the day and had intended to digitally preserve. Enjoy!

Awesome link. Thanks!

It will tide me over until my single gets here. Looking more like a Valentine's Day single.

I did hear a crappy mp3 of one of the songs on it. It's a Stevie Wonder song that was made popular by the Jackson 5. It's really like nothing I've ever heard from the band before. I'd tell you all the title, but that would be a spoiler. :)

Sweet! The singles are shipping!!!!

I don't yet have mine. Mostly just people in Washington state are reporting delivery, which would make sense.

Pearl Jam Find Their Edge

Rockers wrapping new album, readying tour

Pearl Jam are almost finished with their follow-up to 2002's Riot Act.
The band plans to spend the next three weeks in the studio recording
vocals and mixing. If all goes according to plan, the yet-to-be-titled
disc could be released as early as May.

"There's a lot more up-tempo stuff," says drummer Matt Cameron. "It's
a lot more rockin' than our last one." Song titles like "Severed
Hand," "Worldwide Suicide" and "2x4" seem to reflect that harder edge.
Though the track listing has not been finalized, other candidates
 include "Marker" and "Cold Concession."

Cameron, who teamed with guitarist Mike McCready on the track
"Unemployable," characterizes the sessions as more collaborative. "We
reworked everything together in the studio," he says. "It's a really
healthy environment -- everyone really just wants to dig in and make
the songs as good as they can be."

Pearl Jam hope to support the new record with a summer tour.

Hm. Last I read, they were 'taking it easy' and just letting it flow instead of rushing things. Summer seems too early.

Did you get your single yet, Scott? I haven't. *worries, emails 10c*

Which one?

If it was either No Code or Yield, you have experienced the finest Pearl Jam has to offer.
