I'm really hoping for an East Troy show again myself, I've been to 3 concerts there and each one was amazing

Also of great interest...at http://bootlegs.pearljam.com/

The are opening up the Vault and will be releasing Official Boots of older concerts.  First up is a 1993 show in Las Vegas

Ha, I wonder if they'll offer Soldier Field 1995.  ;)

Does Pearl Jam have some sort of beef with the South? They've never toured past the Mason-Dixon line, that I can remember - and here they're touring with My Morning Jacket (from Kentucky), and still aren't going further south than Illinois.

Pretty ******* disapointing.

Groovy article I found on Yahoo.

Y'know, if someone could find a way to hook up some tickets for a Canadian and his buddy named Duane, a road trip might be in order. ;)

So, I've come into possession of crappy mp3s from the new album. All 13 tracks.

I just don't know what to think. Those that haven't liked their stuff since Yield will like this album, but if you liked Binaural and Riot Act, this might not be your cup of tea.

Gone is an early favorite. I liked what I heard on the fan club single, and with the full band playing on it, I like it more.

It's kind of like Yield or Vitalogy- all over the place, but still somewhat cohesive. But it's still its own beast, and with a little more time, I might come to like it better.

Ditto... and after listening to them for about a week... I'm still undecided. I've always felt that their music comes across way better in a live situation than it does on record, with the exception of the first two. Every album after Vs. I've always been like "meh" when I hear it at first, but when we go to the shows, the songs really pop out and I can appreciate them more. I'm hoping the same thing happens with this record. I think the songs are pretty good, with "Severed Hand", "World Wide Suicide", and "Big Wave" being the best of the bunch IMO.

Did you catch them on SNL last night? I saw a promo during the day for it, otherwise I might have missed it. They played "World Wide Suicide" and "Severed Hand" and both songs pretty much rocked. I'm so psyched for the tour to hit my area!

Yeah, I watched SNL. That really made WWS click for me.  :)

I'm starting to get into the album. "Life Wasted" is starting to sound better, and I still dig "Unemployable."

Agreed on WWS, that live performance sealed that as a dang good song.  I also really liked Severed Hand, I've listened to probably 6 of the tracks so far, not sure what to think yet.  Although, my initial reaction is that I like what I hear more than I liked Riot Act or Binaural.

Got my tickets for the two Saint Paul shows (and a pair for Brent ;)) should be a great time, especially with Petty playing as well
