You only get 82 games per position for each of the 7 active roster spots

So you can change your roster daily but you can also probably just keep your main 7 active and substitute based on injuries and on hot/cold playing

Okay - so if I have a roster set for today, does it automatically roll over to the next day/game or does it need to be set up for every day?

I would guess its the same as Baseball, once you set a lineup its that way until you change it

Ok, stupid question time:

I set my lineup, it's all good.  But I am a little baffled.  When I was drafting, I had on my list two point guards.   Now when I check the list of mine, I have only one, Billups with Detroit.  Presumably I can (and here's the question, or cannot?) put in a guy listed as guard at the PG position???  Or no, I cannot do that, only can sub in a guy that yahoo specifically calls a point guard?  I picked up Quentin Richardson thinking another possible PG, but I think I screwed that up, not that I'm about to dump Richardson.

That aside, I like the looks of my team.  The preseason, for what it's worth left me pretty pleased.  Bryant, Marion, Stoudemire, Magloire, Mobley, Richardson and Gooden all had excellent preseason stats.

Really dumb question.  Is the weighting more towards points and rebounds or other stats like percentages?  I'll go back in the thread and look, but could use a little help too.

Having a very hard time benching one of Mobley, Richardson or Gooden ???

What the duce?!

There was a problem:
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• That position has already been filled. (Error #159)
• You have an internal roster error. (Error #290)

I'm once again confused.

Not too bad so far... hanging in the meaty middle of the pack.

Gah, my shooting % are terrible!  Both on the floor and the line, definately my weekness so far.

I'm doing bad.  I still don't quite understand how the scoring works or who I should be playing at what time...

Man I have three potential busts on my team with Dalembert, Christie and Jason Terry doing jack crap so far.  The rest of my team is doing fine but finding those two bench guys has been a challenge for me :-\

You want to talk about a crappy team?

I'm in way over my head here.  I should have just stuck to football.

I still don't quite understand the scoring and I still don't quite understand who on my team should be playing and whether or not I need to strategically bench and play certain people at certain times etc...

Each team is ranked for cumulative stats accrued through the season from 1 to 10.  If you have the most rebounds, say, you get a 10, the next person with the 2nd most rebounds gets a 9.  You want to try and get as many 10's and 9's and 8's as possible

Benching guys who are sucking and plugging in hot guys is the key...as is trying to guess matchups (which may be a little advanced)  You also have to look and see if you can make up ground in catagories by inserting players with that ability (such as a rebounding forward if you are short on rebounds etc)

I wouldn't change my line-up every day though since there is an 82 game limit per starting position

Any ideas? :-\

I try not to touch it. Dressle helps me out from time to time with it.

I hate it.
