She was great. The MTM show was a staple of my early childhood along with reruns of Star Trek and Batman. She was a huge proponent of creative people and the arts, especially in Hollywood. RIP.

Definite bummer about John Hurt.  And he played so many great roles going back to Alien through things like Rob Roy, and even his supporting part in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.  I think we should give him a pass on Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I keep on shaking my head over that movie, and how they drew some great talent llike John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Cate Blanchett.  Cate Blanchett usually picks some fantastic projects.  But with this one I was left wondering "How big was the check"?

Just saw that, too.  Pretty bummed to hear that.  He was great in just about anything he did.  Variety has a nice article about him.

Damn! Bill Paxton was at Calgary Expo in 2014 with the cast of Aliens. A very nice & funny guy. He was on Agents of Shield at the time, when I finished my photo-op, he said Thanks for coming & Hail Hydra! RIP Bill Paxton.
