I just got THE WORST offer so far this season from Dressel:

Todd Helton - 187 pts
John Patterson - 23 pts

for

Jeff Kent - 265 pts
Albert Pujols - 332 pts

Are you kidding me guy?  Hell, if u want to steal my stars just use your commish status to take them off my team and put them on yours.  I don't remember putting up a "Fire Sale" sign.

I just got a BS offer from Dressel as well:

I'd get:

Todd Helton - 187 points
B Myers - 63 points
J. Patterson - 23 points

He'd get:

Alfonso Soriano - 292 points
Manny Ramirez - 283 points
Pedro Martinez - 119 points

A couple of average to below average pitchers and a first baseman who's put up far fewer points than Erstad who I grabbed off of waivers the other day in exchange for 3 of my 5 best players.   Absolute and total nonsense.

I go low, you go high.  I didn't see a counter offer.  I figured you'd make one considering you have a 0% chance of winning.

I have no interest in trading either of those guys.  Did you really expect either of us to accept?  And zero chance of winning?  You wonder why so many people here think you're an *******?  Trust me man, when I look at my team and see the production I get from my hitters, I definitely question your scoring method, as do others, so don't act like you're the God of fantasy baseball because you're leading a league you created before the All-Star break.

If you have a problem with the scoring method, talk to Scott about it.  He created it.  And I copied it this year, except I gave everyone the opportunity to critique it and suggest changes BEFORE the draft right here in this thread, and Scott is the only one who suggested we augment pitching a little, so wins went from 5 to 7 points.  And that was it.  You didn't say anything then at all.  And the only reason I responded to you here publicly is that you decided to post a trade that I offered privately here and mocked me you idiot.  And you do have a 0% chance of winning, because you suck.

Wow. HE, I figured you were above calling some one an *******, but I guess I was wrong.

So he made you a trade you didn't like? You don't need to try and embaras him in front of everyone. Take it to a PM.

KBZ, same thing, except you had the civility not to call names.

This is why I don't make trade offers.

Dressle is right, we all had plenty of time to complain about the scoring system, so don't go bitching about it when it's not working for you because you picked a **** team.

I'd remove the 5 points for the loss since it's basically the only negative category in terms of scoring that you have.  There isn't a negative for hitters (like striking out.)  Just a suggestion.

There's actually also -1 for a BB and -1 for an ER from pitchers too.  And does this mean you're in?

Hadn't seen that on your list.  I'm cool w/ that system then.  I just signed up as "Average Joes."

Here it is right here Holo, where you "ARE COOL" with the scoring system.  Try again to find a different excuse for having a losing team!

Great to see everyone's playing nice in the Fantasy League here again...  :P

Tone it down a notch or two fellas, please.  So Dressel's offers (via PM) sucked ass and were completely insulting to folks.  We're not going to have an all out brawl and name-calling fest because of it.  Just take it to PMs, 'cause this ain't how JD operates.  Thanks...

Kevin, Trade offers are not the akin to private conversations.  I didn't need to namecall, but I absolutely did need to share that inane trade offer with the class - especially when I found out I wasn't the only one who got one.  I wasn't offended by the offer or anything like that, I'd thought about making a counter offer - something like:

Pedro Feliz and Jim Thome in exchange for Tejada, Turnbow and sheffield

Matt, I'm not trying to question authority (but I am anyway), but how the hell is a trade offer insulting? If you get insulted by a trade offer for a fantasy baseball player, then you need to do more with your spare time.

I didn't say I was insulted by them.  I'm just saying that a trade offer that someone disagrees with, however vehemently, doesn't mean they should say the whole board thinks someone is an *******.

And if I was playing, yeah, those were pretty lopsided, and rather laughable, trade offers that Dressel tossed out there.  Certainly nothing wrong with making them, but that doesn't mean they don't suck.

I have no idea how my spare time factors into anything though.

And in other news, holy crap, Randy Johnson won a game.

I hereby quit the league because I can't get any happier than that :P

And in the process sent two of my best players to 0-4 nights.

Thanks a lot Randy Johnson.   >:(

Why on earth would I need a first baseman when mine is starting for the AL in the All Star game?
