Q&A at Toyfair
« on: February 23, 2005, 06:18 PM »
I take it that there was no Q&A session at the Toyfair this year?  I was really only curious as to if any solid info has been released on upcoming OT stuff ??? Anyone?

So I suppose there were no questions asked of Hasbro this go around? Kinda disapointing, I always have liked that.

I asked the same question earlier today in the toyfair thread. My sentiments really haven't changed that much in two hours though...

Nope.  For whatever reason, they didn't have one this year.

I doubt there's going to be any OT stuff trickling out until the 4th quarter though, aside from maybe the "500th" Vader in Meditation Chamber (which damn well better be OT, and not ROTS)...

Not even an on location type thing? And from non of the other sites did them either, that sucks. Ah well, I'll just hold my questions for Celebration III then.

Actually, the news team from The Jawa conducted some Q&A with Hasbro.  Read it here.

Expect 24-32 figures on April 2, which will include a more family event over the entire release weekend.

Walmart Photo Center?

No, I'm much serious. There was a post on a website, talking about Wal*Mart having a photo op with the charachters from the movie, at all Wal*Marts, so I assume it means the photo center, but I read down and yeah, I get it now.

The Photo Center promotion might have something to do with the Darth Vader and Stormtrooper statues that were shown in that Yakface article about WalMart's plans for E3.

Here goes trying to score a stormtrooper from Wal*Mart.

MisterPL at GH posted about Wal*Mart's April 2 plans a few weeks ago

Here

Nice stuff Nick, sad to hear there isn't any OT this year though.  Although, I also want all of the ROTS stuff I can because I have a bad feeling there will be stuff I want if/when the line dies (I'm thinking of the Lars family of AOTC specifically)

From the Hasbro Q&A..." So, are there more CLONE WARS toys on tap? The answer is a resounding YES! While we can't offer any specific details about individual products, Hasbro informs us that there will be new, animated CLONE WARS toys hitting the shelves in mid to late March. Additionally, be on the lookout for a special CLONE WARS promotion with WAL*MART."

Mid March?  And we haven't seen anything yet?  That's really odd.  I'm hoping it pans out, I really like the anmated figure line.

Cannot wait.  And I'm sure there will be some OT later in the year, along with more ROTS.
