Deanna and Reid, I am so sorry to hear about your parrot and your dog. It really sucks to lose pets. I feel I know how it feels more than anyone. Last year, I rescued a newt from a pond at the park. He was as good as dead, huge open wound across his chest, bruises everywhere, but I nursed him back to health. He was a great pet, so much personality. Pets really are like kids to me as weird as it may sound. Then, a few months later, I went to a wedding across the country, and left him with a 'professional' sitter. I got back, and there had been a heat spell. And the sitter neglected to do ******* anything, didnt turn up the A/C, anything. She couldve saved him, but after all I had done for him, all Id been through with him, he was dead. And that sucked!!! So once again, I am very, very sorry, and always sad to hear about it when others lose pets of their own.
My pet population currently consist of the family dog (a brainless beage named Nutmeg, her barking at flies drives us all nuts!), the extremely fat family cat with cowprints on his fur named Toby, the family cat we hardly ever see because shes so damn scared of everything named Cookie.
MY pets, that are MINE and not the family's are a beautiful bearded dragon named Irwin (hes got the best personality, he is something else!) whos still trying to grasp the POTF2 Action Collection Dewback being displayed right next to his cage for him to talk to. I also have two hissing cockroaches, I like them a lot, theyre actually great pets! I also had a great praying mantis named Kitik who passed away a couple months ago,who laid four eggsacs before she went! Im hoping they hatch soon, thatll be very cool. 600+ babies to name. Kitik, Jr., Kitik, Jr., Kitik, Jr., Kitik, Jr., Kitik, Jr.
I love having pets, they are really great to have around. Cool thread!
