Summer finally arrived, yesterday it hit 28.7 °C & today should go to 28°C & tomorrow 27°. We are staying in the mid 20's for the week thus far with late day or evening thunder boomers.

degrees C? Never heard of it.  ;)

The Okanagan is in a heat wave - 33C / 91F yesterday, 35C / 95F today.  And it's continuing next week too, averaging 32C / 90F.  I'm melting.

I blame the Russians, but whatever works for you.

Why, did Sarah Palin tell you something we should know?!

That's still 10F lower than it's been here all month long.    :P

Did we ever get a storm last night, I haven't seen anything like this since 1987 when that tornado ripped through. The light started to flicker before 10pm so I grabbed the flashlight & the power went off. No power for 3 1/2hrs. The clouds were ugly & the wind, according to the paper online the wind was up to 110 km/h.

It rained pretty good & we did get some hail, not large about 1/4" in size but the wind did the damage. One neighbor next to us had a pine tree snap in half & land on his patio deck & the other neighbor had his pine tree just fall over & just missed the other neighbors fence. The roots are exposed, I talked to the neighbor & they saw the tree fall from the kitchen window.

No damage to our place, just one of the ceramic angels feel & broke. The back alley is a mess, lots of branches over the neighborhood & whatever else got blown around. I got caught in the hail/rain storm checking out around back alley & stood at the side garage door for shelter.

Some pics from the local paper.

A video from the Capital Ex fair ground that is here for the week.

Yikes, ugly stuff Dale.  Glad to hear your place is OK.

Today was a bad combination of heat and wind because 2 forest fires have started up in West Kelowna, just on the other side of the Okanagan Lake where I live.  A dozen homes have been destroyed and 10,000 people have been evacuated.  The highway south has been shut down because the fire is burning right next to it.  It's got a lot of people spooked, especially considering there was a big fire in 2003 when over 200 homes were burnt.

The fire chief says both fires are 0% contained, so they've got a big ugly battle ahead of them.  :(

Yuck, that some crazy weather conditions you guys are seeing.  Hopefully, mother nature will provide some better weather conditions soon.

It's been hot here in Chino Hills, CA.  Yesterday, we avoided the weather most of the day by driving and hanging out to the beach.  Today, it's been air conditioning in the house for relief.

Those are pretty massive trees!  :o  That first one must have made a hell of a crack when it snapped.

Very nice weather here lately, went up to 31°C today. Tomorrow 32°C with a chance of late thunder boomer... eek! Don't need to go through a storm again a week later.  :-\

High 20's & into the 30's for next week, going to be drier than a popcorn fart here if we don't get steady rain soon.

Loving the central air conditioner tho.  ;D

Hail sucks.  First time I've ever had damage to my vehicle by falling things from the sky.

I'm still going to blame this on you Canada!!   >:(

Oh sure, blame Canada!   :P   :D

Damn near midnight here & it's 26°C which feels like 30°C, nice night to sit out in the yard.   8)
