Lately the weather here has sucked.  This has been the rainiest June in....  forever!  Seriously, just heard on the news today that since the year 18whateva when people started recording weather history, this has been the rainiest June ever in NW Indiana.

Since last Friday we have had 3 big storms go through the area - 2 of them producing wind gusts of over 80 mph - one storm produced a Tornado which thankfully didn't touchdown until after the storm had passed me a couple towns over.

Local news put it at 20", but based on my driveway I'm going to call it 24" of snow at my house since midnight.

That's over an inch an hour and it's still blowing/snowing outside...  :-\

Yeah, it kind of sucks when by the time I finished snowblowing my drive there was already a half-inch layer on it. Welcome to Hoth.

We had between 4" and 6" last night, and it was the heavy sticky stuff.  Great for making snowmen with the kids, but a bitch to shovel off the driveway.  ;)

cold (35 degrees) and windy here in North Carolina today, Had a brief snow flurry for about an hour then sun came out. Though we are suppossed to get a snow storm Sun night. We had a white christmas though in NC for the first time in a long time, about 5" to 9" across the state.

On 1/8/11 where I live South Bend, Indiana - we hit a new single day snowfall record due to lake effect snow.  In 24 hours we got 25 inches.  Total cumulative snowfall for the weekend = 38.6 inches.
