We got snow in Dallas last week - first time I've ever seen it in this country (one trip to Europe)

Beautiful!  3 inches.

It snowed all night, I woke up and it snowed until about noon - we played around it and had a blast - then by the next day it was totally gone.

Bring back my freezing temperatures.  Driving to work the last two days (and tomorrow presumably) has been straight from hell.  The entire highway is covered with ice and a trip that normally goes by at 110 kph is now down to 60 kph (36 mph).  

Either melt or freeze, nothing in between please

I thought the last snow storm was bad.  Today we got 10" and  now it's raining...nice....real nice  .

So heavy, in fact, that the weight of the heavy wet snow overnight last night took out two big branches off our White Pine in the backyard!

I was getting ready to head out and shovel this morning when I heard a loud CRACK and then the subsequent crashing noise.  An upper branch broke off under the weight and took out another branch on it's way down, ripping off bark in the process... so much damage it might even kill the poor tree.

One more thing to add to the spring clean-up duties I guess...

WE got the northern tip of it.  Cold enough that the snow was actually light and fluffy, but combine it with the crap on the road and it was slush  Made everything look nice and white, except the roads and my car.  Not sure how much fell, but not 8".  Maybe 5.
