More than we had Jesse, not much more snow fell overnight and in a couple of days back into the plus temps again. Crazy weather!

That's a good way to describe the weather here- crazy.

It got up to around 40 degrees F today, which for an Iowa January, is shocking.

Woohoo!!!  I was watching the weather last night and it's possible this part of Texas could see some rain possibly Sunday and Monday.

I'll second that.  South Texas has had less than half an inch of rain since October.  It has been bone dry around here.  My front and back lawn are extra crispy.

Quick lawn care question:  Should I still water my lawn in the winter season?

NO! I lived in Texas for 9 years moved 3 diff. times...every winter my grass turns yellow(dormant). Started watering again in the spring.

It's funny here in the high desert in SC where I live my grass does the same thing yellows after first frost-then in spring when it starts greening I fertilize and start the watering and all is good!

You near Houston?

Thanx for the lawn info though.   :)

dallas is in the same boat rainfall wise as south texas.  my yard is just a dirt cuz the grass didn't go dormant and i didn't water it.   and, that is fine with me.  i hate the cold weather and my yard was just weeds anyhow.  i wouldn't mind a little rain to stop the grassfires as long as it didn't make the weather turn cold though.

I swear, it was once again near 60 in Pittsburgh in goddam January.  This sucks.

It's to go into the 30's for a high this weekend...  finally.  And that's STILL not all that cold as we're used to the 20's for a high at best at this time of year.  When I was little I remember snow every year that guaranteed days off school and huge ass snow forts in the back yard.

Who broke the weather machine people!?  Can't Captain Picard come fix it or something?

It's Groundhog Day!  :D

3 of 4 groundhogs agree - early spring

The weather here thus far has been pretty darn good, cools off at night but the day temps are great. No snow here again, as soon as we do get some it warms up. Feels like Calgary with these chinooks we are getting!  ;D

I think someone transplanted Fort Collins to Chicago without letting us know. We have been having neaqr 50-60 mph gusts lately and there has been a constant breeze. It is so aggrivating trying to ride my bike to class. It seems to change direction evertime I'm on my bike, so whether I'm coming from or going to class I'm always riding right into the wind. >:( **** the wind. >:(

It's warm, but it's rain.
