It's raining and in the 50's here. Doesn't feel like May at all. Oh well, I guess this means higher temperatures for June and July. ::)

Thats cause it isn't may yet.  :-*

Yeah, I think we all brought it home. Warm the first day then down hill from there.  >:(

Snowed last night just enough to cover the ground and now it's all gone, gets better as the week comes along.  8)

Well the weather here has been pretty good, just getting cloudy and a few thunder boomers happening.

In the past week, the sourthern part of Alberta received major amounts of rain that caused flooding.

Quote
Between 100 mm and 170 mm of rain has pounded some water-logged communities since Sunday, forcing several areas to declare a state of emergency.

Rain eases, but Alberta flood threat persists

A friend of mine sent me some pictures that are are pretty incredible.   :o   8)

I'm not sure at this time who sent them to him or where he found them but man thats scary!  :o

It's in the lower-to-mid 80s here, and it's starting to look like rain.  :(

Typical Summertime regime here in SC...heat of the day thunderstorms, muggy, and generally not out of the norm. Some flooding under the slow moving ones.

Sucks ****.

Global warming my ass.

Coldest summer on record last year, well on our way again this year.

Opened the pool today, let's see if that helps.  Should break 70 on sunday ::)

Our normals for this time of year are like the mid to high 70's, some low 70's...  We've been in the high 80's and ungodly humid with scattered storms for a long time now.  This blows since A) I hate the heat, and B) I hate humidity even more.

I have too much Scottish/Irish blood in my veins because I like cooler weather and rain...  Falling at a nice slant even.

I went to the Pittsburgh Rib & Music Festival tonight (MMmmmmm) and holy HELL was it uncomfortable at times...  Right when we got there it was sorta ok because there was a light rain and a breeze down the rivers, but after the rain passed and all those sweaty mullet-clad guys started to work that funk up...  Look out!

Good ribs though, good booze, and Deep Purple playing was nice too.

Last night was quite possibly the wildest lightning storm I've ever seen.  I sat and watched it for almost an hour last night, which was really fun because the power went out and there was complete darkness in between lightning strikes.   8)

It was an incredibly hot day, 32oC (about 90oF), so a storm was expected, but that just blew me away.  Our patio was covered in branches and acorns from the trees this morning, so the winds were gusting pretty high.

Anyone else love watching rain/thunder/lightning storms?

Thunder...soon to be replaced by thunder. ::) I can't box with my bag chained to a tree, in thunder.

Warm here, got to 28.6 °C yesterday and it's 20°C right now. At 4:00 am today, there was one heck of a lightning show coming in when I moved my truck at work. The wind picked up and then it poured for about 20 mins.

Around 4:45 am, there was one heck of a crack of thunder.  :o

Looks like that's swinging down to us today or tonight.  Same temperature and we're supposed to get a boomer with about an inch of rain.  We really don't need the rain, but it's no surprise with the heat and humidity.

Since opening the pool it's rained only once and we've had a great stretch of heat for over a week now.  Supposed to cool down after the storm then start inching back up for the weekend.

Good ribs though, good booze, and Deep Purple playing was nice too.

Love ribs, love booze and Deep Purple would have been very cool to see.  Listened to them all the time growing up and my favorite song is lazy
