September 8th?  How many weeks do you actually get to use the pool?  8-12?

Longer, if I wasn't so damn cheap.  Heating the pool is what costs a ton.  Some people up here open their pools around the start of May and keep them open to the end of September.  I could do that, but probably cost me $300 for May/September each :o  Not worth it.

This year May and the first week of June were miserable and we wouldn't have spent a single day in the pool.  We opened the pool and bam, it warmed up.  I usually open around the 1st of June and keep it open until about middle September, so a total of 14-15 weeks is the norm.  It's worth it though, a ton of fun and we have people over all the time.  It'll still be open on the 8th. ;)

Nope, beer is the price of admission :P  Bring some Big Rock.  Jesse can keep his crappy Saskabush beer :-X

I've been told by people that live up on the North Shore and the Iron Range (aka Lake Superior and points west) that Summer is at least 3-4 weeks shorter than it is in the Twin Cities.

Probably is, I am 500 miles north of you.  A normal summer (daily highs of 70F or better) usually runs from early May until mid-late September here.  It can get warm and stay warm as early as March and stay nice until November, but it's a big if at both ends.  We've had two feet of snow in May lots of times.  Normal first fall snowfall (may or may not stay) is around mid October; first snowfall that stays is right around Halloween.

I'd suggest our normal summer is about 16 weeks long.  Anything more than that is gravy.

Nice rock, smart ass.  I no longer believe any story you tell about drinking.

But if he's drunk enough to nurse that big rock, he must've been really drunk, so I still believe him.

I'll pay $20 to see a Photoshopped pic of that.   :D

As for Saskatchewan beer, how do you think we convince ourselves that we like living here?   ::)  :P

Yuck, I'd melt into a puddle of goo.

Sure, - 50 is easy, but 114?  Forget it.   :(

I could use 114 degree weather on a day like today. I'd sweat my fat right off onto the floor.

No kidding.  You would have to adjust your goal to losing 85 lbs in 6 weeks instead of that 50 :)
