No snow yet but man is it getting windy out here.

Right now the temp is 5°C & the winds are gusting to 48km/h plus. So dry here that the leaves, grass clippings, dust are just all over the place, garbage blown out from the bins. Just like a big dust storm. Guess that snow storm is coming in here Saturday & Sunday, just hope we don't have this wind.  :-\

The snow has begun.   :'(

Right now the temp is -10°C & were expecting 5 cm by tonight & tomorrow 1-3 cm more. Monday, more snow & getting colder.  :-\

So much for that nice 10.7°C we had yesterday, pretty darn good for this time of yr.

Brrrr.... Winter just arrived today.  It's actually only -13C, but with the wind chill, it feels like -29C.  Yikes!  The snow came too, which is what I wanted, but they can keep the wind.  Yuck.   :-X

The snow has stopped for the time being, getting down to -27°C tonight!  :-\

There still saying its going to get warmer by the end of the week & forecasting a brown Christmas!

Oh, I hope not!  We had a brown Christmas for the only time in my life about 5 years ago when I was living in Regina.  Just plain weird & kinda depressing.  We've got lots of snow here now, and I hope it stays.  But it's supposed to be +5oC on Saturday, so we'll see...

Did you guys have the same brown Christmas? I'm sure it was around that time when we had ours here. Very sad.  :(

There saying a few places in Canada will be above normal temperatures.

Weird fall here so far again.  We usually get some snow and it usually stays, its raining right now and there's no chance for snow for a while

Not that I mind, really.  Although rain/ice is worse than just straight snow

Ooh, much better.  The wind has stopped, but the snow has continued with a total of about 6 inches now.  Me like White Christmas!   8)

Pittsburgh's still only had a flurry or two.  This sucks.  :(  50's most of the time...  Did get my car washed and a half-assed wax coat on it, but beyond that I'm ready for some cold temps, snow, and all the coziness it brings around the holidays.

Brian points out one of my pet peeves...during "Sweeps" month on TV any little chance for snow turns in to the weather event of the century and forecasts tend to double their predictions.

"Oh...It's Going to Dump 6" of the White Stuff on us, travel will be impossible, stock up on Groceries and TP, and keep it right here for all of your Storm of the Century Weather Coverage"

Bah...
Last Night's Forecast: 2-3"...actual amount in my yard today: 0" ::)

I was just coming here to post that Matt :-*

Two things going on I guess: No snow means warmer ground temps which means if precip does come in, its more likely to be rain than snow I guess

And there is an El Nino in the Pacific which usually means warm and wet winters here and the Jet Stream is all messed up.  I would guess Brent's place might actually be buried when they get home :)

We just had some freezing rain over night, not going to be fun for the drivers on the X-Mas rush for the day.  :-\
