It's good enough for me...The Goonies

The Goonies is one of my all time favorite movies and I would like to see a sequel made, if it is done right.  What would be even more cool is if they made some action figures of characters from the original movie.   I would buy those in a Heartbeat.

This was showing on AMC last night (and off and on through the weekend I think), and I was switching between it and the NBA Finals.  Although I was aware of when it came out (1985), I guess I didn't realize that this year is the 25th anniversary of the Goonies.  Still one of my all-time favorites...so happy anniversary to the Goonies.  Makes me feel extra old that this movie is that old .

I caught Goonies over Memorial weekend and it was a match between AOTC.  Goonies still rocks the boat and I kicked SW to the curb for that great 80's movie.  I hear ya Brian on the feeling old part.  It's kinda sad that a lot of the actors in current day movies are younger than I am.     Time is moving...

Speaking of the anniversary, sounds like much of the cast and crew got together in Astoria for a celebration with some fans.  They discussed some of the deleted scenes (alternate ending, the Octupus scene, and a strange "escaped Gorillas" scene filmed by Spielberg himself), as well as a Blu Ray release scheduled for this November.  They also continue to discuss a sequel, which Donner says "will happen".  More at the linky.
