I just changed my hotel since I found a cheaper rate over at Priceline thanks to Joshee.  I'm now have airfare and my hotel for $536 (plus the $50 cancellation rate) instead of $715 for the Omni Hotel that I got through GenCon.  I'm now going to be staying at the Courtyard Downtown which is only .2 miles away form the con.   8)

EDIT: ANyone know how to cancel the hotel rooms.  All my email states is please send cancellation inquires to Starwars.com.  I go to the OS but don't see anything there with an email account.

Am I the only underage person at this board going?

Spending all afternoon tommorow looking for cheap hotels. Or VOTC Stormies, or both...

I guess I can't get a Vader topper since it won't allow me to long in to the site even through I already bought my pass which has been charged to my account.   >:(

Could always be worse.  You could be from Canada.  Apparently it's difficult to send stuff across the border ::)

I kinda lucked out for registration, I logged on just before 6PM 1st day(thinking the first few hrs. would be useless), and it took me about 15min.  Although I had my gencon password etc., also only needed to order tix. (and the topper thing, so I bypassed a few steps.  Was really feeling lucky after hitting all the boards and seeing all the problems everyone was having.

Also, I had booked a suite at the Hampton Inn back in April 2004(2 bedroom suite, living room area, bar, kitchen, etc. etc. for a whopping $134!!!!! I'm a Diamond/VIP member w/the Hilton group which kinda helped. ;^)

I'm planning on bashing at least one night (prob Thurs. or Fri-maybe both..who knows) anyhow I've been talking about this at ww.pswcs.com and also our local Pgh group www.thejawa.net/pitswcc for a while now.

Not gonna speak for Jesse, but I'm  guessing he'll be joining in on the festivities at some point ;^)

Anyhow, I'll probably post more as we get closer to CIII,(we had fun last time-heh, ran out of cups and had to drink margaritas out of styrofoam hotel cups ewww, blender got a workout that night)

Can't wait!  It's gonna be a blast!

without a doubt Bob...

I'll be but floors away since I booked when you told me to so I didn't lose out on a good room.  I'll be there whenever I can, though my gf's going (as of right now) so we'll be spending the evenings out on the town as much as we can too.

I've already got a chunk earning a whopping 2% (less actually) in the bank (haha, sad rate huh?) in a 6 month certificate that I'll cash right before the trip.  Things are looking like fun.

I'll be there in an official capacity for JediDefender of course, and possibly my other little site I work with some, so I'll have my responsibilities there too, but drinking's one of my top priorities.  :P

I finally ordered my pass last Sunday.
I'll be sharing a room at the Omni- luckily a friend of mine got in the first day and reserved two rooms there.
Think we are going to carpool at this point, don't know for sure.
I do know I plan on having a blast, and party hopping as much as possible  8)
I'm sure I'll have a few drinks with y'all, but hopefully not at Hooters.  ::)

Oh, I'll be ordering my passes relativley soon. I already have a room reserved, and I already posted the rate.

Now we talk car rentals...

Any good online car rental sites you guys know about?

Vator I'll hook you up to a good rate through Orbitz.

I'll bring a portable DVD player, and Screen my Episode of Highschool Stories, just for you guys. Maybe I can talk to GenCon about getting an autograph booth. :P

Does anyone know the phone number to cancel your hotel rooms or a site where I can cancel it.  I had it saved in my mailbox but I guess it got deleted somehow.  I have all of the information on the hotel and conf. number but just not the phone number to cancel.  I need to cancel this hotel room I got through GenCon because I found a cheaper deal through Priceline.
Thanks for helping in advance.

I'd just call information and get the hotel's #.

Or look up the hotel chain's website on Google or Yahoo.  Every Hotel has one I think...  Or so it seems.
