Met my first forum member this evening - Nicklab. Got together to do a little transaction in the parking lot of a nearby TRU.

First of many, as I'm sure I'll be meeting a lot more of you at C3 (if I don't go ahead and off myself first, which I'm kinda feeling like doing right about now).

Hopefully that was a Star Wars related transaction, and nothing more.  Granted, in your current state, you could probably use some pretty strong drugs to help you feel a little better.   ;)

...(if I don't go ahead and off myself first, which I'm kinda feeling like doing right about now).

I trust that's in reference to your current (and prolongued) "under the weather" condition, right D?  Nothing beyond that...?   ???

Besides, your ass is going to Toyfair this weekend, so at least wait 'til after that to off yourself, eh?!   :-*  Plus, you'll probably get to meet a bunch more forum folk there - or at least staff member type of folk from elsewhere.  Don't forget to say hey to Phil!   ;)

Dude, you're purple now too.  Just noticed that.  Way to go, Mace.

It was cool to meet up with Jokabofe tonight.  Like I was saying when we met, making trades in the parking lot of toy stores always makes me think of poorly planned drug deals.  Still it was awesome to meet someone local from the forum. Hope to see you this weekend at Toy Fair.

Anyone meet any new folks this weekend during Midnight Madness and/or on 4/2?  None for me, though I'm hoping to entice one of the cooler guys that I met that night to stop on by here soon...

Sorry to hear that Nathan.  Those guys are just the way they are, and they really can't help that, so please don't let that reflect poorly on us here at JD.  There's actually some cool guys here at the site too.  I promise!

I met this group of three guys from Durant, OK at the Target opening- we were the only ones there for longer than 10 min before opening.  I told them about here and GH, but haven't seen them show up yet- I think only one is a serious collector and he goes to the site-that-shall-not-be-named.   He's going to be on the same flight to Indy, too, but w/ his wife...  They seemed really cool, so hopefully they will stop by... we went to breakfast together after Target and then we went to the TRU opening and to Books-A-Million... I love meeting people :)
But, of course, no one from this area is on this board- that I'm aware of...

Finally got to meet fellow SoCal'er MetalJedi today, so a BUMP to this thread is hereby in order!

Good shootin' the **** with you (and Jared) this afternoon Robb!  Let's do it again sometime...   8)

I got you beat on that one – I knew Robb back in the day when he lived in Utah... Nevada... er, Idaho... Well, uh, I knew he was cool before you, and stuff.

Robb and I were able to help each other out a lot around the first Tie Bomber release. Great to see you around here Robb! (Stop trying to steal my sources friends, Colman!!!)

You should really think about living out here Deanpaul.
I remember my dream now.

Robb, I'd love to but I still haven't figured out how to reconcile the cost of living adjustment.

I wouldn't expect to have the same home in Cali that I have here, but I have no idea where I would live with issues like schools for the kids and central to companies I might consult and so on.

Moving to California for me is almost as baffling as moving to a foreign country. I like the idea (a lot), but I just can't get my head around it.

I'm in the process of seriously rethinking my life, so I'm fairly impressionable and this is a good time to make suggestions.

How about Canuckia?  Surely you'd like to pay more taxes and have ******** selection for toys, eh?   :P

I haven't met any of you hosers yet, but C3 should allow for a "meeting" or two.  Hopefully, I don't regret that.   :D

I'd have to pass on the Great White North for now. In 1997 I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. It would be a pretty bad move for me with what I know of the Canadian health care system from people there with AS.

If that weren't enough to stop me the toy selection would...
