Accessory Packs
« on: April 12, 2005, 06:51 PM »
Would anybody else like to see the return of these? Just like in Episode 1, they could pack in a bunch of blasters, lightsabers, etc. and sell them for $5 or $6. I think it'd be a cool way to get replacement/extra weapons, like Clone Rifles for the SA Clones.

Anybody else with me?

Sure, count me in.  But I would want to see them done a little better than the first go round...

I almost think what they did with the SAGA Accessory sets might be the way to go... how about this lineup -

Kashyyyk Battle Set - w/ Wookiee Warrior, Wookiee tools/weapons/shields/etc

Utapua Battle Set - w/ Battle Droid, Separatist weapons/Utupuan weapons/etc

Coruscant Battle Set - w/ Clone Trooper, blasters/lightsabers/etc

Yeah, I would totally buy those. Hell, I bought so many of the Saga ones, my Target couldn't restock them fast enough. I must have bought at least 15 DS Tropers and Battle Droids, and at least 4 of the Hoth and Endor ones.

I could go for some accessory packs.  I liked the EPISODE I sets.  Here are some ideas just from some brainstorming:

JEDI
Jedi Robe (similar to the one that came with VOTC Obi-Wan)
Lightsaber
Rebreather
Commlink (similar to the Qui-Gon Jinn one)
Handheld holo-projector with holo Jedi
Jedi macrobinoculars (similar to the ones that came with SAGA Obi-Wan Pilot)
Blinding helmet
training remote
figure stands

CLONE ARMY
Poncho (as seen in Clone Wars cartoon)
Macrobinoculars
Blaster rifle
small blaster
blaster pistol
blaster rifle rack
observation/scout droid
Clone Trooper helmet
figure stands

WOOKIEES
Wookiee harness or satchel
blaster rifle (from Preview Wookiee Warrior)
bowcaster
shield (from Wookiee Warrior)
staff
blaster (from Wookiee Warrior)
club (from Tarfful)
welder (from Chewie - Mechanic)
figure stands

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I would love more accessory packs. Just give us existing accesories, no need to make up anything new.

Hasbro tried these with Ep1 and later during the Saga line.  Yeah, it would be nice if they could spice them up a bit.

I think they should do like they did with the Saga Accesory packs. Some old accesories, some new, and a figure. A Clone Wars one is definitely in order.
Maybe something like...

1 ARC Trooper Blue (or they could do variations some blue, grey, or red)
1 ARC gattling gun
1 Missle Launcher
1 ARC rifle
2 ARC Blaster Pistols
Macrobinoculars
Scout Droid

Scout Droid... speaking of that, I would love to see those red Probe Droid things that attack Yoda and Padme in the snow...

You mean the Chameleon droids?

I, too, would enjoy seeing the return of the accesory packs. Especially if they would make them a little better than before.

Exactly... that's what I liked about the SAGA ones... although one could argue that the Hoth Trooper set was kinda a bust...

never really found the saga hoth set that great. the little tank thing totally talked me out of buying it. Not to mention the accesories were kinda boring.
Anyways, back on topic i'd love to see the Arc Trooper and clone wars weapons made it'd be a chance to release a hard to find figure (for me anyways  >:( ) and some new accessories.

I'd buy them. It would be cool if they could include figures with them, even if they are smaller figures that normally would not be made.

I'd like to see a return to either Ep. 1 or Saga styled accessory sets.  I enjoyed the extras you could get in each of them.  Unfortunately it seems like they never sold very well in either incarnation, so I'd suspect that Hasbro's probably thrown in the towel with this idea, which is a shame.  Hopefully I'm wrong though.

I'd still like to see a release of the second wave of the Saga sets, but it looks like that's never going to happen.  I really wanted that X-wing ladder!
