STOP with Convention Exclusives!

Hasbro,

C3 is now one day old and from what I have read your C3 Exclusive Vader is a nightmare to obtain. I know you wanted to "create a special piece for C3 goers" but go check eBay...some sellers have double digits of these IN HAND! Way to create something special 

I, like many others, have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on Star Wars product over the years (my collection is rapidly approching 2,000). Why oh why can't you offer these exclusives to members of Hyperspace at the very least? I had the chance to go to C3 but I passed...I had no intention of flying a 1,000 miles to stand in line ALL day to get 1 figure.

Put a special C3 or SDCC or whatever sticker on the package of the conventions and offer up "non stickered" versions to the masses who can't make it.

Not cool to have fans waiting in line for upwards of 10 hours to obtain a figure...I know they don't have to buy it, but it is always nice to bring back a souveneir.

How about this - everyone who passes through the door for the first time, gets a figure - only one.  Up the price of the badge(s) to compensate for the figure cost.

And yes, I'm available for hire.

I have to agree.  Include the figure in the price or admission (or not at all) and hand them out at the door.  Obviously people will somehow end up getting more than one so bring plenty of extras.  Whatever you can't get rid of there just put on StarWarsShop.com or hand them out when people leave the convention.  I am sure people would want more than one.

Here's another yes vote.

The very nature of an exclusive sets the collector against the scalper. It's inherit conflict tends to hurt the collector the most. In this crummy world where people care about making a couple bucks more than having an item to appreciate, I don't think the human race is mature enough to handel exclusive Star Wars toys.
