If anyone can pick up this album and all of the pins, I would be forever indebted to you, and will reward your generosity in tracking down this set and the album.

Wow!! What an awesome promotion.  I need a Padme pin if any of my northern buddies find her ;).

Brent may be of service on this as this is not available in my province thus far.

I have heard that there might be some sort of offer made to those collector's that do not have the promotion available in their city, just have to wait for a responce from my email I sent them.  :-\

I'll do what I can folks.  The hard part for me is that I work out of town, so if anything is really hot, there's potential for me to miss them :-\

Adam's got first dibs on a set, Beth gets a Padme no matter what.  I can likely manage a couple or three sets.  No more than that, money's a little tighter than I'd like right now and I owe Matt and Jeff pretty big, plus the GG Vader is due any day.

Holy ****, that responce was fast.  :o

As it stands for this this particular promotion, it is only available with newspapers in Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec due to some limitations with the newspapers elsewhere in Canada.

They only have enough inventory at this time for these provinces. Now there is a good chance that they may additional inventory at the end of the retail program which will be at the end of May. If they do, I'm on a waiting list.  :-\

Best that I can do, sorry.

FYI: http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/contests/contest1/index.html

I also put a request in to have my name added to a waiting list for people outside of the city.  We'll see what happens...

Best of luck guys, sounds like this could be tricky to get.

Ok, here's the deal.  I should be able to pick these up for folks with relatively little problem BUT I will have to buy newspapers to get the pins.  So the regular weekday paper is $1.00 plus the cost of the $2.69 pin, so you're looking at $4.00-ish per pin.  The albums will not be free, they'll be a buck (cost of the paper to get the damn coupon).

I've no problem helping anyone, just want you to know the cost.  The number of retailers should help out given it's both Safeway and Shell in addition to others.  I just can't miss a paper.

On the bright side I think there'll be plenty of extras as this is not like the hockey pin promotion they had not so long ago.  But Star Wars ain't hockey, so I don't foresee any real difficulty.

For the time being I'll put aside sets for Jesse and Dale as well as Adam.  If you guys get to buy them outright, my guess is you'll save money.  It just seems to work out that way.

That would be great Brent. The emails I'm getting to my inquiries are the same automated responses that everyone else is getting.  :-\

I e-mailed the Winnipeg Free Press to see how someone outside of those areas (For those of you outside Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa) would be able to get them.  Here's what they had to say:

"Thank you for your inquiry. In order to reserve a set, you must have all of the coupons from the papers (21 in total).  The only exception to that requirement applies to our Out-of Province Online subscribers.  However, if you should purchase an Online subscription for a year (Out-of-Province rate is $7.00 per month), we can reserve a set for you as a subscriber.  Please let us know if you wish to go that route.  The total cost would be $84.00 to purchase a  year’s online subscription to the online version of the newspaper  plus pins and delivery ($72.04) for a total of $156.04.  Thank you.

Customer Service Supervisor
Winnipeg Free Press
(204) 697-7222"

Obviously, this isn't a very feasible option.  $156.04 CDN.  Yikes.   ::)

Well, here's what the cost will be for a set from me:

Album: $1 (or whatever a copy of the paper costs)

Each pin: cost of paper $1 + cost of pin $3-ish after taxes, so $4.00

20 pins x $4.00 = $80 = album ($1) = $81 and shipping.

Cheaper than the cost of what they're offering, but not that cheap for a set of pins, IMO.

BTW, between Brad, Dale and Jesse, I'm about at my limit.  Beth's Padme pin is included, of course ;)  If Jesse declines, it's first come, first served.

Sounds pretty reasonable for such a set!

Yeah, I think so too Adam.  I know nothing of the pin market to be honest, but I have no problem doing cost and shipping for folks here, I've been the recipient so many times.

The PinsUSA pins cost about $7-8 each, easy. These are pretty cheap, all things considered.
