Without the picture there is NO context as to what you are talking about.

I think you are confusing the word "context" with "caption."  You don't need to have a picture to have context.

"Context: n. the parts of a written or spoken statement that precede or follow a specific word or passage, usually influencing its meaning or effect: You have misinterpreted my remark because you took it out of context. "

I know what I am talking about and I do mean CONTEXT.

The picture posted before Jesse's posted would give the 4 posts CONTEXT. Without the picture all 4 posts loose that CONTEXT eventhough they are about the same thing.

Are you saying that because the posts didn't repaste the picture every time they are no longer in context?  That might be even more ridiculous than the quoting with large gaps between phrases.  The point of a thread within a forum is to provide context and I would argue that recent posts about the same topic are IN CONTEXT.

I took it out of context by cutting off the rest of the sentence...duh.     And since when can you not cut off the end of the quote?  Post above is a nice case in point.  Its not the same as cutting out every other word like some people who use this thread.
