Another long everdue vehicle. Hasbro said that should the vehicle have a role in ROTS that they would consider it.
How much bigger of a role that the vehicle that was ordered to kill Obi-wan Kenobi need to be?
It played nearly as big a role as the AT-AT did in ESB.
Plus it's just a cool freakin' vehicle to look at, let alone play with.
How they could make a gunner and not the vehicle is beyond me. G.I.Joe gets royal treatment in comparison, if you ask me. And the new guy in charge of teh SW license is the old G.I.Joe guy. So what's the deal then??
Shelf space? Well, quit making those ridiculous other lines (Jedi Force, Force Battlers, Choppers, Transformers, and to a lesser extent for me, Unleashed battle packs). Then the stores will have plenty of room for larger vehicles.
Still not biting, then make it an internet exclusive.
heck if Code 3 can make die-cast vehicles and sell through them for a couple hundred a pop, then you can make a cool AT-TE for $100.
I'd like to see it have room for two pilots in the cockpit, 4 gunners (1 at each station) and room for more clones in the main compartments of the vehicles front and rear. Even if no room for those extra clones it would still be cool. Plus don't forget the canon on top and the attached seat for yet another gunner to fit into it.
Don't add electronics, that's fine. That will keep cost down. Just make the legs articulated, swivel canon on top, ball joint guns at the gunner stations and an opening cockpit and most of us would be QUITE pleased.
Think about the cost too, 4 legs are the same mold (fore and aft sets) while the middle 2 are the same. So there's major reuse of molds. So it just leaves the body to get the attention to detail that would be required.
