ROTS Burger King Promos

The first couple of weeks, it was a total pain to get them all, and I also had a hard time getting the plush ones. The Jawa and Chewie in particular took me until week 4 to find.

I got Vader during week 5, which was great. I figured I'd still be looking on ebay for one had I not found it then.

I'm glad that I don't have to go to BK every Wednesday to get these anymore. Now I wish I'd have picked up all those Episode I toys and cup toppers, and I want to complete my 1997 Taco Bell set. I think I need R2, Boba Fett, and that Vader/Yoda cube thingy.

Thanks a ton bud, I appreciate it!  He and Tarful were the two main ones I wanted, so now I just need a Boga for a complete set and I'd dig an extra Chewie if I can find it...  I'd be set then, but for now I'm gonna be happy even if I don't get the Boga and extra Chewie.

Galactic Hunter has a few pics up of a possible BK "Super Deformed" Stormtrooper, complete with Imperial symbol light up feature.  Judging from the pics, and the logo on the bottom, it is indeed a BK toy.  Possibly a ROTS DVD tie in?  I had originally heard there were going to be watches for that promotion, but maybe the Super D toys were enough of a hit that they're going back to it.  I wouldn't mind having a Stormtrooper, but I hope they don't go too crazy with a bunch of other releases.  It was enough of a pain to get the whole set the first time .

Hmmm, how does a Stormtrooper tie in to ROTS?   I know, all the toys weren't ROTS related, so sadly that leads me to believe we're being set up for multiples all over again.

Hi. First time poster, long time lurker.

I was just given this by a very good friend who works for the company that produces the toys for Burger King's kids meals. She knew how much I love Star Wars and had already hooked me up with some of the toys. Today she gave me this:

She said to the best of her knowledge that only the CEO and some of the toy designers got them. She was able to snag one to pass on to me. She's not sure exactly why or wh they were produced for.

I think I love the presentation box a little more than I do the toys, but it's a really nice thing to have. I don't plan on parting with it any time soon, but I wonder how "rare" it may be? If anyone else has some info to pass along on this, feel free. Thanks.

Well, they're back for the DVD release, and it looks like we're getting 17 more.  All the details at the linky.  16 "normal" releases (4 for each new category), and another chase Darth Vader with breathing sounds.  They also mention that the Vader will be "a tough one to find this time".  Goodie.  As much as I enjoyed this promotion, and they are neat little toys, the thought of tracking down another 17 doesn't have me overly thrilled.  I made it through the last promotion only having to eat at BK once (until I found one that sold them all seperately, as many as I wanted).  Hopefully it will work out that way this time too, or I'll just wait for ebay.  We'll see.  More neat toys, but yikes, maybe too many of them.

Man, my arteries still haven't recovered from last time.

I doubt I'll try to get that Vader, since I have the first one, but I like the Stormtrooper and Kit Fisto.
