Yeah, keep us posted on that, Beth!

Thought my Maul would've been here by now...  Do you guys know where they're shipping from (listed on your packages)?  Many of the Lucas licensees are here in SoCal, so things usually arrive real quick once they've shipped, but apparently not this one.

BUT, the display stand
will be different, because it doesnt list the saber as belonging to "Count Dooku",
but to "Darth Tyrannus".    Some might say that Dooku should be refered-to by
his SITH name, instead of his JEDI name.

Now that's an interesting little tidbit there.  Hadn't thought about that, but I think I'd like the "Tyrannus" stand too, despite the insignificant change to it's respective saber.  Thanks for the tip, BH.

Thanks to Mini-Rock, these seem to be the best way to go for a case for your mini Maul.

Display Cases

He has a beautiful one for his Sideshow Luke and I plan on ordering one for my Medal of Yavin as well as for my mini Maul once I move.

Thanks for the info Beth, I'll look into it later.

Matt, the sabers (at least mine) was shipped from Edison, NJ.  Check the e-mail that told you they were shipping it and check for the fed ex tracking number.  It was just a number and not a link so you'll have to cut and paste it.
This is the way.

Got my Maul today too, finally.  Looks nice, but I agree that it feels a little light, and may be hollow.  Not sure.  I also agree that the set looks a little strange with the missing card in that big empty section of the case.  I also don't care much for that black felt covering, since it's rubbed off all over everything, including the saber which is now covered in black dust.  Poor choice on that stuff.  Just trying to remove all the tape left my fingers all black.

But still, cool saber!  Glad they finally made this one...  8)

Got mine also and just noticed I was charged for the chrome Anakin mini saber exclusive from sws.com so I assume I'll see that little goody within the next week or two.

I finally ponied up for the collectors society membership, so I own my first mini.  They're neat, but a serious investment to stay current and complete, so I'm glad I passed.

I'll have to look over the stuff that's in there, but may have a coupon or two to hand over.  I'll be using the FX coupon for sure, but after that I'm not sure what will be useful to me.  Any word on expiry dates?

Also since this is the '05 kit, would it be safe to presume there'll be an 06 kit as well?

I wouldn't be suprised if they did a CS kit for every year they have the license.

I finally got my hands on an AOTC Obi-Wan LE saber.  Awesome piece of work.

No membership card in the mail for me yet...  :-\

I finally nabbed the three ROTS Jedi sabers off a seller on ebay for about $20 each.  Not too bad...

I assume the Vader and Tyranus ones haven't been released yet?  I'm so far behind on the mini saber news, but I'd assume that's the case, since I haven't seen a single one available on eBay in the past 3 weeks...

Beth, did you get your display cases yet?  Identical to the old ones, sans text?  I've been pretty shocked to see the old "Sith Collection" case vault above the "Jedi" case recently.  Weird...  I'd still love to get a "2004 Jedi Collection" case though.  I'll probably bite the bullet at some point, I'm sure...

And welcome to the club Brent.  Now get off your lazy ass, and start catching up on all the rest of the ones you've missed so far!

Matt #3.14,

The Tyrannus, Vader and the battle damaged Maul mini sabers will be released (or re-released as the case may be) this fall.  I need them as well.  Although my Saber focus has definitely been Obi-Wan related, I do like the Dooku and Maul Sabers.  I'll also most likely get a Vader mini-saber and another case, so I can put all three sith sabers into one, leaving the other two cases I've purchased for my Obi-Wan sabers.

See Brent...you don't have to get all of them!   :D

Haven't gotten them yet and no word on when they will ship.

The coupons expire by 12/31/05 and I am pretty sure MR hinted that the 2006 kit will be a Star Wars theme as well.

.45 scale sabers are $35, with the exception of the Full Darth Maul saber which you got with the $50 CS membership.

LE Sabers are around $369

LE Blasters are about $400

Matt #3.14,

OK, now I know there's miniscule changes to the Vader and Dooku/Tyrannus sabers, but that's the first I've heard of the BD Maul saber being re-released.  Any word on differences on that one, or is it identical to the first one?
