Hallmark Star Wars
« on: November 16, 2002, 07:10 PM »
I must admit, my mom and I have been collecting these Star Wars ornaments ever since the Darth Vader came out... I think we've got every ornament made so far except for the original Luke...
Does anyone else collect these?

If so, what's your favorite ornament?

My favorite would have to be the Darth Vader, he speaks a line and the floorpanel below him is lit... Very cool.

To anyone dropping by who hasn't noticed, I've done an article on all of the Ornaments made since '96. Be sure to check that out.

I've seen them in stores, but I never got around to actually buying them. This Christmas, I start. :)

I actually have them all. I do not put them on my tree. I have them displayed in a cabinet.
For those of you looking for me. I am now at www.sandtroopers.com

The two I have are the original Obi-wan, and this year I got Darth Vader.

I picked up my first ornaments this year. I found the Vader, mini r2 and c3po and bespin luke.

I will say that I git a big kick out of the Vader. I like the light up ones. I may have to look for some more deals.. The death star looks cool as well.

I've been collecting these since their inception.  I've got all of the Original Trilogy ornaments, along with a couple Prequel ones which I don't care too much for.

My favorite is the light up Millenium Falcon - by far.  This thing is totally sweet!  It's the only one I've ever put up on my Christmas trees.  I plan to buy a small, fake tree sometime soon to put in the Star Wars room (when we move), to give all of my ornaments a permanent home.

My wife just started my collection of these this past Christmas by giving me the Jango Fett and Slave I ornaments.  This year, I'll have one more thing to spend money on during the holidays.  ;D

I have most of the ornaments, and my favorite, by far, has to be the Millennium Falcon.  Not only was it the first ornament, and the ship flown by my fave character, Han Solo, it's also a very nicely detailed little ship.  I like the little lunch box, too.

I only have the Jango Fett + Jango Slave 1 ornaments. The Jango ornaments likeness is out of this world.

The Jango likeness is much better than the Boba Fett one, by far. But, both are pretty cool.

3PO is alright, but because I'm pretty sure I've already got a 3PO, I'm not too excited about him. I'll get this one simply because I'm trying to keep my collection as complete as possible.

The TIE is something I've wanted for a while. I'll definately get this one, even if I wasn't a near-completist.

I would have prefered a single, larger, more detailed Clone, rather than another bunch of tiny things. They are okay, I guess.

Well, I was hoping for a Yoda, but I wanted a larger Yoda, something about the size of the larger R2 ornament, at least. Unfortunately, we get a tiny Yoda, along with a tiny Padme. Well, maybe they'll make an ESB Yoda someday.  :-\

Overall, nice to see them, but I haven't been knocked silly with joy and anticipation for their release...

They all look pretty good except for Yoda... he looks terrible!  How hard is it to make a decent Yoda?
