Obi-Wan's Blue Jedi Starfighter

Amazon.com has listed two "new" starfighters that are apparently available in September. They're $24.99 for the ship with what they claim is an exclusive figure.

Obi-Wan's Starfighter
Anakin's Starfighter

At first thought I'd imagine that the Obi-Wan starfighter would be the blue version he takes to Utupau, but considering there is an Anakin version as well that is a different sku than the current TRU exclusive, I'm thinking that these will be repacks of the existing vehicles.

Is all this really necessary?

No, it's not necessary. It's out of hand. I hope Obi-Wan's is at least Blue.

I didn't think that it was necessary to have out of the 1st 56 figures of ROTS (excluding deluxe figs):
2 R2-D2
2 Yodas
3 Anakins
3 Obi-Wans

but Hasbro always does this

I'm more afraid of them being window-boxed, like the current TRU exclusive, which would mean I'd be likley to buy them. And having two more repacked versions of ships I already own would be great. Really.

Kevin, are you talking about the Grievous ship? I'd like that one, but figure it's right up there on the priority list for Hasbro with the Sith Infiltrator.

That would be really cool if it did turn out to be Obi-Wan with Grievous' ship and Anakin with that Jedi Airspeeder, but I'm with Jared in thinking this is probably not the case.

If there is yet another Anakin Starfighter, Hasbro will have successfully pissed people off by using the same tactic twice in less than four months.  First they release the Sneak Preview Anakin Starfighter in March, follow it up with the TRU Green Fighter (with Anakin) the very next month, and they're going to follow it up with ANOTHER version of the same fighter?

Unless the Anakin listing is a mistake or a price drop, TRU and Hasbro have shot themselves in the feet big-time.

I'm hoping that the Anakin is an error and the only ship coming is a Blue Jedi Starfighter w/Obi-Wan figure similar to the Anakin Green Starfighter.

I really don't need another Green or Yellow starfighter at this point. I can LIVE with the Blue one only because having both a Green and Blue one gives two other Jedi Starfighters of their own - like Saesee Tinn and Shaak Ti (or whomever).

At this point, I'm surprised they aren't jumping on the fact that in the Clone Wars cartoon series, Mace Windu flew a purple one.

You guys are talking about the Jedi Speeder - to me that could be done as a small-size vehicle.

Speaking of re-hashes, why haven't they kit bashed a Bail Organa figure head to a Saga Captain Typho body and packed him in with a red repaint of the Anakin speeder that came out for EP2. To me that seems like a no-brainer.

It's been listed on Amazon.com for a while, but it doesn't specifially say it's an exclusive to TRU - but I'm assuming it will be.

I dunno... I just don't want this thing... it looks cool, but I'm really running out of room to put all these Jedi Starfighters (and running out of money).

If I ever see the original ones on a cheap clearance, I might buy them and repaint them...
