Scoring looks good and I don't think we need the flex spot with basically 2 full lines in the starting position.  I'd also like to see it capped at 10 teams.  I'm no fan of 12 team leagues.  I'm also good with keeping goalie Goals and Assists at a point a piece.    I say we start the draft September 1st or as soon as we have 10 teams in place.  No reason to wait and take the chance that the draft drags like the football one.

10 teams does seem like a good place to cap it. Scoring looks good to me, I do have a stupid question though, does Plus minus work both ways? As in if someone has a negative 2, do they count for two against your score, or does +/- only count for the plus?

Minnesota IceMuskies...In :-*

This should be interesting.  Fantasy Baseball really rekindled my love of said game, I hope to do the same with hockey, watched a lot in college but really (outside of the Wild cup run a few years ago) haven't paid much attention since then

I signed up but it's not showing up in my "my teams" list - could someone see if my team is showing up in there and let me know so I can try again if I need to?

I see "The Zods" listed when I look up the league...

Rob - My team isn't showing up under my fantasy teams either, but if I go through their fantasy hockey links, it does. Strange.

Here's who's signed up already:

The Zods - Rob
Bushleaguers - Jamie
Jeff's Hockey Team - duh
Minnesota IceMuskies -Scott
Team Elvis - Jason
SGC Airmen - Ryan
Canuckleheads - Brent

I have the same problem with it not showing up on my fantasy home page Rob.  I'm not sure why (yet).  I did click on the edit and added in the hockey pool, but not there yet.  I'll work on it.

Also checking into +/- but I'm guessing yeah, it's like pitching in baseball - you have a crappy game and you pay for it.  I can change the value of the +/- category to anything I want, but it's currently set at 1.  I could modify it to 0.5 so it has less impact or I can delete it as well from the scoring.  I think it's an important stat though you can get burned if one of your goal scorers is also sitting on the line killing power plays.  Yeah, just like pitching.

The Klippers are ready.

Now I have to catch up on the latest signings and try to keep track of who's playing where...  :-[

I'd say 1 point per category is fine (and I like 3 points per SHO - I don't think the goalie should be the most important player for points).  The only stats I've ever tracked during hockey pools is G + A, so adding a few more should be fun.

Roster Positions: C, C, LW, LW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, G, G, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR

By the way, what does BN stand for (back-up player?)?

League starts 05 October.  I'd like to have a week to input the teams, so the draft needs to be done by around 28 September or so.  The football draft has been slow, looking like it will need three weeks to finish.  I don't mind the speed like that, so we should start the draft around 07 September.  Is this reasonable?

Looks like I'm going to be the trouble-maker already.

I'm going to be out of town from Aug 25 to Aug 29 and Sept 6 to 12.  I'll probably have internet access during the first trip (25th to 29th), but it's very unlikely during the 6th to 12th.  Perhaps we could start late August and get as much done as possible before my trip?  :-\

Don't worry Jesse, if you exceed the 12 hour draft rule, we'll pick for you.  First guy up is Domi.

And yes, BN is bench.  Up to you to decide who to have playing and who is sitting on any given day.
