Hey Beth,

Thanks again for offering your extra KotD figure to me for my brother, but a stroke of good luck tonight on a chance run to a Target yielded me a new KotD for him and one for myself as well.

Cool!!  Glad you were able to score one!!  I just read that the minimates are out at TRU in California.  Can't wait to get these.

Oh and mosnab, good choice on figure-pick-up #3 :)

Well, I was able to sneak another LOTR figure in this weekend, while we were out shopping for some house stuff.  I don't think my wife minds too much as long as it is just one here or there.  Taken from many of your suggestions, I picked up Pippin in Armor.  I haven't had a chance to open it up yet, but I already want to get the Merry in Armor as well now.  Just doesn't seem right to have one and not the other  ;).  That figure should be next on my list if I see him.  Then its on to Gimli, Aragorn, Frodo, and Sam, but I might be waiting to see on some of those to see if a better figure is coming up.  Thanks again for the suggestions everyone, it is helping a lot.

I scored a couple of figures on the weekend as well.  Both in trilogy packaging and at Walmart, so $2 cheaper -each- than at TRU so I couldn't pass it up: Boromir and a standard Ring Wraith.

Having now looked closely at the There and Back Again set, I've decided it sucks.  I'll be going with the armored versions as well, so just waiting to see them in the trilogy packaging at Wallyworld as well.  I can easily find the original packaging versions of the goblin armor Sam and Frodo, but at nearly $15 after taxes, no thanks.

Sadly TRU is out of the ring wraith three pack for now, so biding my time to pick them up individually.  Wondering if they will bring in the Mouth of Sauron set??? Maybe I should ask ::)

Anyone have a ETA on the next wave? Really looking forward to the new Arwen.  How about the Coronation box set?

Kind of a dopey-looking Arwen, but that could be the light.

Is anyone finding the Fell Beast out there?  My buddy at work got one and the box sure is big.  Might have to pick this one up too.

Eowyn looks... severe.  Hmm.  I think it's the lighting on all of them.

No new LOTR stuff around here.  Been a while.

No sign of it yet, but then I have to compete with a collectible store that isn't content to just deal with the manufacturers directly.  The web site they sell on is http://www.toywiz.com if you're wondering.  They go to a lot of the stores in my area, walk the aisles with shopping carts that they fill up consistently, and then resell everything on that website.  But I digress.

Looks like Toy Biz finally got a case assortment or two right.

FOTR Wave 3
3 x Elrond in Robes
3 x Elendil
2 x Gil-Galad
2 x Birthday Bilbo
1 x Moria Archer
1 x Lurtz

ROTK Wave 3 Cases
3 x Shelob
3 x Ringwraith
2 x Gimli
2 x Uruk-hai
1 x Gollum
1 x Queen Arwen

Do bear in mind Queen Arwen will be in the Coronation gift pack. And who needs another Gollum anyway? Good on TB to pack him 1 per case, IMO. I suppose the Moria Archer will be a pain in the ass to find, though. Curses.

Anything new about this ring wraith or is TB just packing sensibly with respect to an 'army' builder?

Judging by our stores, they need never ship another Gollum.  Ever.  TRU never clears them out, nor does Zeller and both will have over 20 Gollum/Smeagol at each location, completely clogging the pegs with no new stock coming in :(

I think it's the Ringwraith that came with the Horse. I'm not sure, as I can't really recall the Toy Fair coverage.

Thanks for the answer Ben.  I'm hoping with cloth robes rather than plastic, but we'll see.  Need my nine.  One to come from Mouth of Sauron set (kinda), one Morgul, one regular, one with horse ( I think, maybe, if Scott's sending it, no idea there) then fill out the rest.
