Well Dressel, looks like I was right.

Chris Brown was going to be one of my two picks.

Picks coming up in a second...

Once I landed Travis Henry, I had to make sure I got Chris Brown, and I didn't want to pass up Chris Chambers WR with the new coordinator there trying to turn him into his new Randy Moss for the season.

Chances are Chris Brown will hurt something: his thigh, his hamstring, or his hand, and Travis Henry will put up 2002 and 2003 numbers and rush for 1,000+ yards with 10+ scores.  But it could go the other way and Chris Brown could win the starting job, after all, he did run for 1,000+ yards with 6 TD in just 11 games last year.

So yeah, that's why I did it, and apparently for good reason since you were about to take my Travis Henry insurance  :o

My rationale for it was like this:  Travis Henry probably WON'T put up 2002-2003 numbers, Chris Brown was pretty damn good last year and will most likely push Henry right out of the backfield.  He'd also fallen very far given most projections - so getting him this late would be very good value.

But yeah, he is definitely an injury risk.

It works out okay though, I'm happy enough with Akers and the Patriots Defense.

I'd be happy with Pats D and that kicker too.  I just think Travis Henry is a proven force.  Until that Willis McGahee situation in 2004, he was pretty much a top 10 back in the league:

Year  Team    G   Rush  Yds   Y/G    Avg  TD
2002 Buffalo 16   325 1438  89.9   4.4  13
2003 Buffalo 15   331 1356  90.4   4.1  10

He hasn't achieved as much as LaMont Jordan, but he can dream.

But remember he was having a crap season before McGahee became available.  The Bills had no running game whatsoever until McGahee came in and ran his butt off right behind the same offensive line that Henry tried to run behind all season long.

I watched this closely last year - because Henry was by far the biggest BUST I drafted.

Normally Juan PMs me a nice pick hierarchy for his turn, but this time the PM just said, "Make Scott as miserable as possible with my pick."
