Great start on the Imp commandos Glassman.  As always you deliver high quality sculpts and casts of helmets and heads.  The only reason I never order fro you is the fact that I like the feeling of doing my own version, of course I could never match your skill with the resin, plus my sculpts turn out slightly lopsided. :-[

Anyways I like your  work, and I'll soon post some pics I found of guys in full commando armor.
Palpatine:Lord Vader
Vader:Master, my suit chafes
Palps:Do you use Darkside
Vader:Yes master
Palps:In time you will learn the true power of the darkside

Thanks Finds & Vf

Finds, 7 more weeks...  Getting closer, I'll be sure to post some pics after she arrives. Thanks for asking

VF, i feel the same way, so no sweat.  Thats why i learned casting and such casue i wanted to be able  to make my own also. Its frustrating in the beginning, but well worth it after you get the hang of it.
As for the lopsided sculpts, stop, take some time awayfrom it, then go back and re work it.  It make all the difference.

Thanks MBA, good luck with that helmet.

I've been working on my Ultimate Jango so i have some new heads.

Here is the wax sculpt and the plastic cast comparison.

I aslo finally got brave enough to open my George lucas stormie, as well as the new tank gunner.
So instantly i made casts.

I still like my removable hemlet from the VOTC stomie better... seen here first.

Then i hollowed out the head to make it fit on a ball joint.

I also went back to my imperial commandos... I gave them all different heads.
I will paint the bodies soon...

wow GM, alot of casting goodness with this post.  Nice job on the all the castings.  Your ultimate Jango head has just enough mods to it that it resembles the other clone heads but has a distint look to him that keeps him unique.

The Lucas head and helmet looks great.  How did you hand the ball joint on the ST torso? Did you cut it off and use a casted ball joint?

that lucas head looks fantastic....Hasbro's paint really hides a lot of the details. Your commander heads are fan-freakin-tastic

Thanks guys.

Phalanxx, The cast neck post is exactly what i used.
If you look in the pics,  you will see a bunch of them laying around.
I cut off the ball joint and glue the neck post in it's place.

Glassman, that is some very amazing work.  I love they way your sculpts/ casts come out.  I really like how you save time by casting in the colored plastic that minize the painting that's required!

Thanks BrentS.  It makes painting the faces sooooo much easier.
I used to paint the face, then the eyes, mess up the face when i did the eyes.
Fix the face, mess up th eyes, it was never an easy task.
This way is!  I only have to worry about hair and eyes. (lips sometimes)

Wow!  More awesome casts from Glass.  I just wish I could say something more intelligent than that, but I can't.  All I can do is register great awe and admiration.  8)

I really like all the slightly different heads on your group of troopers -- the idea of them being both all the same" (being clones) yet slightly different at the same time is such an intriguing one.  These little details make all the difference.

And, of course, do keep us posted on the advent of your li'l Leia!  :)

Thanks Fritz and Finds.

Well  After years and years of reasearch, bugging people on the boards, bugging printers, technicians, paper stores, copy stores....
I am finally able to print directly to cards!!!

No more spray mount, no more self adhesive paper/lables...  insert comic backer & print.

I use White comic book backing boards. I use a laser copier to print directly to the card.
The only problem with this is the card  cant be brown like hasbros.

Here are some reults.

These are custom cards made for Yssane Isard and Admiral Daala figures i made a few months back.

Here are the figs

Here are the backs.

There are a couple places i have to work out lining up my templates...but those are simple fixes.

Like i mentioned, the only issue, is that the card must be white to print to and not brown, so you can see here the
white shows in the cards thickness.

I also made a couple more vintage cards.  Now that have the printing thing solved, i should be cranking these out !!

Let me know what you think!

That is friggin' great.  I'd love to get more details on the actual paper source and the type of printer you used.  Those results look outstanding!

Well it was no secret that My wife and I were expecting a baby.
She was born last week. I finally have a chance to settle down and post some pics.

Her name is Veronica.

7lbs 13ozs
19.5 in. long
Born Sept 5th

On a side note, a while back some of you who requested cast were asked to wait till i finished her nursery.
I have pics of that too.

We went with a female superhero theme. If it was a boy i would have got to do a baby star wars theme.

Before:  Plain and empty

During: Paint and trim added

After:

I also made some customs of the characters for decorations.
They were based off the Bratz Babyz. I'll post those later.

Here is what the boarder looks like. All the characters were had dran, scaned and colored. I printed them big for the wal decals and arranged them for the boarder for the room.
