Holy crap dude!  The paint job on that Yoda is absolutely stunning!  Nice paint apps on the base, very detailed!
The clone is also very nicely done.  I like the custom made visor - it really looks perfect.  The "battle-damage" or weathering effects (whichever you want to call it) is incredible.  It's definitely the right balance between hasbro's overly clean clones (which I'm partial to) and some of the over-weathered clones out there.  Great work!

I agree with Ryan - I'm so glad that you decided to start doing these 3 3/4" figures!

Hi All

well 2 more repaints up for everyone to see both figures were painted with reaper miniature, vallejo and GW paints. Dooku's cape was given a slight wash to get the shine out of it. I especially wanted to give Dooku teh blochy skin look that he has and Ki-Adi more promienent darker folds like he should have LMK what you think.

Wow! That is an awsome Ki-Adi. The head is amazing, it looks better than the actual actors head in the movie!

The Dooku looks good as well, the uniform all in brown really looks better.

You do some awsome work HEMBLE!

Good Lord, I can't believe how good you are at painting.  It's unbelievable.

Ki Adi Mundi really looks alive.  Dooku does too.

How long does a detailed repaint like this usually take you to do?

Dear Lord, those are so realistic! That first pic of Ki-Adi looks right out of the movie! Dooku is amazing as well. It's a shame Hasbro gave him that slouch, otherwise he'd be perfect!

It usualy takes me anything between 5-6 hours on a figure but if I work a Saturday like I just did I can do 3 figures in 10.5 hrs, I did a OTC Luke but did'nt like his eyes so I'm redoing him.

Obi-wan In ROTS Clone Trooper Armour 3&3/4
« Reply #99 on: November 11, 2005, 05:35 AM »
Hi All

Well I just completed my real first custom this week the parts I used are obi-wan in flight gear and super articulated Clone trooper.
I kept the lower torso and legs, hands, helmet and shoulder parts of the trooper and the head, upper body, lower robes and forearms of Obi-wan.
I had to cut open the Obi torso to get the Troopers legs and shoulders in and I slipped the lower robes over the legs so once that was done I super-glued the body together and feeled in the gaps.
The Obi forearms were modified to fit the upper arm section and the hands were also modified and was I was happy I painted the whole figure using Vallejo and GW paints

That Obi looks really good. I like the fact that you switched the arms around from the way that everyone else (including me) made one. And of course, great paint job.

That Obi Wan is nothing short of breathtaking.  Great mixing of the parts for a new look.  I think hands down you are the best one around here with your life-like painting.

I REALLY like the Obi-Wan clone armor. They way you have cloth for the forearms and armor for the biceps makes it different from all the others. Also, I love your painting. Great work.
