What about SirSteve's Guide? Not that I go there anymore. Way too commerical.

It seems like Dan Curto's Customizing Alliance should run this. I know it doesn't get alot of traffic but it seems like it should be part of it.

I'll try and send it to SSG later on this evening... looks like Yakface is the only one to post it so far. I guess the other sites just don't care, since I see that they have posted other "news" since I emailed them last night  ::)

Which figure for distaster relief?
« Reply #66 on: September 20, 2005, 01:35 PM »
Following jokabofe lead, I would like to donate one of my custom figures to this cause. The question is which one should I donate? Please suggest which one I should put up for auction.

Well, I wasn't the high bidder for very long...  :(

Maybe I'll have to try again later.  ;D

I think the ones most likely to sell would be:

The carded R2 unit (Carded figures typically sell better)
Sha'gi (since he's a fan fav)
The Wal-Mart Clone
Gold ARC Trooper

Maybe since the 2005 Holiday Figure is such a train wreck, you might get a lot of action on your set...

Clones seem to draw the most attention these days, but I am sure some people would be very interested in these -

But it's all relative to what you feel you can part with.   ;)

I don't think we should rip any sites that don't post it, but I do think we should applaude those that do.

9 days left and this thing is already doing good.

Yeah, that's how I usually do it when bidding on eBay... but since this is a for charity thing, I don't mind an early bidding war to inflate the price.  IMHO it seems a little scuzzy to snipe these auctions since they are for charity... just my $0.02 I guess.
