True dat.  I couldn't bring myself to spend over $100 for a single bottle of liquor right now.  However, Makers 46 from the distillers of Makers Mark have comeup with one of the finest bourbons I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy!

Nice.  The Talisker in there is a bit of a surprise though; I sure haven't got my palate to that point yet.

No Glenmorangie?

Nope.  Not the biggest fan of it to be truthful.  Perhaps it's un-Scottish of me to say but I'm not the biggest fan of anything Glen...  That said the image has a 12 and 15 year old Livet, a 14 year old Goyne and a 12 year old Fiddich.  I also squirreled away two bottles of Glenfiddich's Snow Phoenix.  I do have a friend that absolutely loves Glenmorangie so I can drink it at his place.

See, I could take or leave most Fiddich as just "blah", and Glen Ord is probably the worst drink...not the worst scotch...the worst drink...I've ever had.  But Glen Morangie...Oh my.  My favorite scotch by far.

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

Makers is fantastic, and I'd like to try this edition.  For my bourbon money though, I'll put Woodford Reserve up against any high end Scotch any day.

Yeah, not the biggest fan of bourbon either, but up here we get only the basics for the most part: Jack or Jim.  But I will be down in TN in November, so I'm completely open to recommendations.  It would seem somewhat blasphemous to go all the way to Tennessee and bring home a bottle of Scotch.

Brent - it has been a while since Richard and I have had a mini-JD renunion tour.  Let us know when you are in that hillbilly state just west of North Carolina  ;)

Where in TN are you going, Brent?  I'm in the far northeastern corner.

Well, I never did make it to Knoxville unfortunately, so sorry name and Tracy.  :'(

On the plus side I just came back from Hawaii :-X and had enough time at duty free to pick up a bottle of this:

'Twould appear I've kept collecting, but this you can drink...

Nice, Name!  I've been meaning to check out the Woodford Reserve, but I can't bring myself to buy more bourbon while I've still got a fair ammount of Makers in the house.

My wife was nice enough to get me a bottle of this:

I'm not sure if they're technically allowed to call this bourbon, since it's not being distilled in Kentucky.

Good lord man, just lick the frickin' ash tray and wash it down with some sea water, it'll be less expensive.   :-*

The best part is when my wife kisses me afterwards, smiles, and says "you smell smokey."
