You are a Scotch drinker now?  Very cool.  Here is a very dangerous link for you.    If you ever end up ordering from there, lmk, I'd like to go in with someone as they won't ship to Canada (our laws) :'(

Currently six bottles of Scotch in our house:

Cragganmore is probably my current favorite.  Can't get Cardhu here anymore sadly, though you can order it from that link.  The first two (Glengoyne/Macallan) are both duty free exclusives.  The Johnny's are ok for blends, I typically use the Black for making Rusty Nails (Scotch/Drambuie) and the green was just to try.  I'm not nearly as snobby about blends as a lot of folks but can agree with the statement that single malts are typically better.

Single Malt fan here too.  Have a bottle of that 12 year MacAllan in my own cabinet.  One of my faves.  Had a 200 ml bottle of Johnny Walker blue for a while...part of a gift set we bought and split up as gifts to a few friends, I kept the blue for me....no way am I affording a full sized 750 ml bottle of that.

Don't own a bottle (yet), but my personal favorite is

This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

I don't mind Glenmorangie at all.  I actually downed a bottle of basic Glenfiddich in record and enjoyable time back in October and found it to be very good for what seems very common around here and reasonably priced.

I was digging around on the Balvenie website after Scott posted his and they have a Scotch matured in rum kegs I'd like to get my hands on, but too pricey and not to be found around here.  I love me some rum too.

no harm in Glenfidditch....although it's on pretty much every bar around here too, and I'll usually pass it over for a better blended scotch...or sometimes a bourbon.

Not a huge bourbon fan, but I have fallen in love with Woodford Reserve.

I'm thirsty.....

The Glenfiddich was from a small local store while I was running a conference and couldn't get away.  It was that or Glenlivet and I have some smaller bottles (15/18 yo) at home so thought I'd try something else.  It's common as dirt but I quite enjoyed it - may have had more to do with a need than any great flavor.

No love of Bourbon - abused that too much skiing in my late teens and early twenties: two wine skins, one with Bourbon, one with Baby Duck used as a chaser for the Bourbon.  It's a wonder we didn't ski into any trees.  I have a bottle of Jack Daniels that is still sealed and must be nearing 40 years old; it's a pity it doesn't age in the bottle.

Dale, it's always happy hour somewhere in the world.   ;D  I like the Big Rock stuff for sure but try to stick with the local Fort Garry stuff (which I think Scott will likely come in and claim as Minnesota's  ::)  ;))

It's that time of year again  ;D

Only brewed locally for the Festival du Voyageur which I think roughly translates to: **** it, it's cold, let's go play outside and drink lots of beer while we're at it.

They changed the can again this year, so I'll update when I have a new image to use.

That's the translation wikipedia gives.

I've been sick as a dog the last couple days, so some Crown Royal should warm me up.

In the 85+ degree heat, there's nothing like cooling down with a Sweet Tea Vodka and Lemonade.  Tasty!  I stopped counting after 5...

one of my favorites - The Painkiller

Equal parts: Meyers Dark Rum, Bacardi silver/clear/light (whatever you wanna call it), and Malibu - I probably do an oz. of each.
Fill with pineapple juice
top with 151

enjoy   ;D
