I think its funny how all these new incarnations of the Avengers still have Captain America in them, but they killed him off in the comics over a year ago.

Yeah, although the book has still been quite good I think - I miss Steve Rogers, and have a feeling he'll be "back" in the comics in time for his movie in 2011, if not sooner.

We'll see.  Maybe they'll figure out something with the Invaders Crossover.  Look how long its taking to get Hawkeye back into the fold (not counting Ronin of course).  What's it been 3-4 years?

Yeah, that pretty much sucks.  How much money could Terrence Howard have wanted?

Don Cheadle is a top-notch actor, but I don't think he's right for the role.

Who ****** this up for everybody? I hope some understanding can be reached and Howard gets back in.

That's odd.

You would think that Cheadle would command more money than Howard...sounds fishy.  I can only assume that all of the actors from the first movie had sequel contracts drawn up before production even started on the original.

In the alternate beginning he's supposedly frozen in the arctic ice.  From the screen grabs I've seen, there's a brief glimpse of the shield.

Hmmn...I didn't see it at first, but they have a good diagram via the link.  Would have been cool if they had kept this in.

That clip of Watchmen looks amazing - I'm definitely psyched to see it now!

That apparent Cap "cameo" in the alternate Hulk opening is pretty cool.  I just really like how Marvel is tying their movies together into one universe, its really too bad that Sony and Fox have the strangleholds on the Spidey and X-Men rights, respectively.  It would be nice to see more cameos and crossovers in future movies, if it all works out well.

I didn't get a chance to see the Incredible Hulk this summer, but I heard good things so I grabbed the DVD yesterday at Target - looking forward to catching it this weekend.  I really hope that Thor, Cap, and the Avengers all live up to the quality of Iron Man and (apparently) Hulk.  I'm really anticipating that Captain America movie, hopefully they do it justice.

Mr. Bond turns down Thor...

Offered Lead Part in 'Thor', Daniel Craig Declines

People gave him **** for being too short to play Bond when he was first announced as playing 007.  Can you imagine the **** storm he'd get playing a 6'-6" 250 pound plus Norse God? (Not saying me personally, Craig's an excellent actor and they could always use the perspective thing like they did with the Hobbitteses in LOTR, just the other way around to account for the size difference)

It seems like they are really pushing forward with Thor right now, so hopefully they can find a good actor to fit the part.  Like you mentioned Mikey, Craig is a good actor and you could always do different perspective tricks to overcome any height issues.  I just hope that Marvel doesn't try to cast the "size", and go with someone like Triple H.  I really doubt they would do that, but I've seen some suggest it before in forums.  I'd rather have a competent actor in the role personally.  That said, any suggestions for the roles of Thor and Captain America, since those seem to be the next two headed to the big screen?

Thor doesn't really need to be a great actor, IMHO.  I wouldn't recommend somebody with no acting experience like HHH, but the role certainly doesn't call for a thesp like Norton or Downey.  Thor's a god... he should be up there like Heston's Moses.

Know who would be fantastic?  Vinnie Jones.

I think Loki is the much more critical casting decision in that film.
