The scores from yesterday are up now. I need a decent night from Tony Gonzalez (8.20 points) to beat Zod.  :-\

I'm confused about something... I have B.J. Sams on my team, who had 146 yards in kick and punt returns yesterday, but has 0 points? Is that right?? How can that be?

I believe Zod's right - we don't get any points for return yardage. Even if he scored on a return, I think the defense of the Ravens would get the six points for the touchdown.

Thanks for posting the results.  Still have my kicker tomorrow night so I feel fairly comfortable in saying the slide is over :-*

Yeah, I'd say so.   ;) I was beginning to wonder if I'd get out of the teens - guess not. Oh well, hopefully I don't have a disasterous week like this one going forward.

Nice choice Matt and I agree that its better than Joshua Tree...excited to hear the new one too (although I can't stand the new iPod commercial already)

Yeah Scott, I'm really looking forward to the new album too :)

Crazytown....they did that Butterly song about 3-4 years ago, right? Or am I getting them confused with someone else??  ???

Picking one is always so tough. So many CD's are in the regular rotation most of the time (AC/DC's Back in Black, Pearl Jam's Vs., Nirvana's Nevermind, many Beatles albums, Van Halen's 1984, U2's The Joshua Treeetc.), but the one that as of late never leaves the player and I can listen to over and over again is:

1. Zoo Station
2. Even Better Than the Real Thing
3. One
4. Until the End of the World
5. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
6. So Cruel
7. The Fly
8. Mysterious Ways
9. Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World
10. Ultra Violet
11. Acrobat
12. Love is Blindness

It's an interesting album that often gets overlooked due to The Joshua Tree. It's hard to believe the band was thinking of breaking up before recording this album, but it really set the stage for the direction they took during the '90's.

Thanks for the well-wishes.  :) I certainly appreciate them, as well as being a part of this community.

I dunno...  I've had a lot of animosity towards Carroll, ever since he showed up as "Matt C."  That's my name, and the fact that he tries to steal it really annoys me.  I guess it's mostly his parent's fault though, so I'll try not to hold it against him too much.  #1   8)

Well, you know what they say - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Matt C.  :-*

Thanks Beth and Scott. :)

I received my second (pre-ordered) box today and pulled a Matt Busch Snowtrooper sketch.

Once others start picking up their boxes, I'd love to trade for a few cards that I need to complete a second set.

I'm missing #'s: 11, 22, 24, 40, 51, 88, 96, 106, 111, 112
Hobby Foil #5 (Padme)

I have over half the set in extras for trade fodder, along with Hobby Foils 1 (Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon), 4 (Sidious, Maul & Dooku ) and 6 ( Zam, Jango & Aurra Sing ).

I have been debating on whether or not to pick some of these up too.  I always enjoyed the vintage card sets, and I like how these emulate those in a number of ways.  Plus, the sketch cards are neat too.  Anyone else picking these up?  Also, have they shown at retail yet, or just at specialty shops?  I checked Target last weekend, but didn't see them there yet.  Oh and what is the price per pack and/or box?

I've only seen them at the local comic book shop thus far.  The hobby packs were priced $2 per pack - I picked up the box for $65. I'm not sure how that relates to the price of the retail packs and boxes.

Just opened a box of the Heritage cards.

As far as extras go, I ended up with a Jeff Carlisle artist sketch card and 4 of the 6 hobby foil-etched cards.

I didn't end up with a complete base set - I ended up missing 11 of the 120 cards in the base set.

Just a word of warning for those thinking about buying by the pack: There were at least 4 packs where I ended up with two of the same cards from the same pack. In fact, there was one pack where I ended up 3 of the same card. Keep in mind, there are only 5 cards in each pack.   :-[

Here is a scan of my sketch card:

Defending Champs - 49.97    ;D
Springfield Isotopes - 49.90

Dammit! Of course, thinking the Colts were going to split the carries more between Rhodes and James, I started both of them instead of Wheatley, who has done crap this year until the first quarter of tonight's game.

Oh well, that's the way it goes, I suppose.

I'll stick to who I've seen in person:

Hockey: Patrick Roy. I never caught the Great One, nor have I seen Mario in person. It was amazing how he could take over a game.

Baseball: Barry Bonds. I didn't go to a major league game until the '90's, so I'm really limited on who I've seen. Great hitter, though.

Football: John Elway. My favorite athlete of all time. For years, he carried the Broncos on his back without much support (until TD came along)

Basketball: Magic. I never saw Jordan live.  :'(

I will mention this additional bit - I've been extremely lucky to see the last 3 Heisman winners in person here in Boulder (Crouch in '01, Palmer in '02, White in '03).  ;D

All these injuries are crazy - I'm used to playing in smaller leagues where if one guy goes down, you either turn to someone on your bench or there are still guys to pick up off waivers. It's pretty slim pickins at RB right now....

After week 1:

14  Springfield Isotopes = 0-1-0, 22.32 points

Yeah, take that! ;) It's nice and comfy down here in the cellar.  Oh well, maybe I'll score a touchdown next week.   ;D
