I became so powerful with my Admin powers that I accidentaly suspended myself.
:'(

Irony at its finest, folks.

Oh my, I had to think about reinstating you Brad. :-*

*points and laughs* :P
Incidentally, what is the difference between Suspended and Banned?
-
Well, I've lost much of the power I once had... but someday I will be the most powerful Admin ever.
>:(
Incidentally, what is the difference between Suspended and Banned?
Well, while being suspended I could still view all of the boards, post and edit my posts, and even edit my profile... If I were banned (and yes, I've even been banned from here, once), I wouldn't be able to log-in at all, I believe.
-
Hmmm ... so you were suspended from your Staff powers and essentially reduced to normal posting abilities? So for example one of us Muggles couldn't get suspended?

Some are known to hit this button. :P

Way to go, dumbass.

so smart.....no effence.....(what'd ya get banned for or idd you ban your self?)
-
We like to ban our own staff members from time to time, just to keep them in check. ;)
Brad suspended himself for reasons unknown (to us). But I'm sure he deserved it. What great mods we have here, when they know to punish themselves as well. What true integrity! :P
Brad, let us know when you're ready to return to your staff status, so we can consider whether we're going to reinstate you, or not. Thanks.

Brad soiled himself... It's happened before and we're sick of it so his suspension was warranted. The smell in our secret club house was over-powering really.
Incidentally, what is the difference between Suspended and Banned?
Suspended means we are tolerating someone because we like them enough to keep them around and want them around on some level... I guess. Banned means you don't know when to STFU even after we've been more than cordial and fair with you, and we just roll your ass out the door. There's some guys out there who make it their hobby to get banned at websites. Our own banned list is a bit of a "who's who" when you look at it. :)
In short, the only real difference is the staff's judgment/conclusions we come to after we talk about the "situation" for a while. Banned really takes a certain level of behavior that we just aren't left with other options. What can we say, other than "we care" about this place.

Can non-mods and admins see this banned list?
-
Yes. But they have to ban you after.

That's actually only a partial list of the JD bannings there. We can ban people by their forum names, e-mail addresses, and/or IP addresses. But for some strange reason, only one of those subsets actually gets listed in our Member List as "Banned". Other folks, like Mister Kenobi/Matkatnadam (MastaOB1 here) for example are actually banned here, but are still (incorrectly) listed as a regular member in the Member List. I wonder if that's why he keeps trying to log back in here (according to our Banning Log)...? :P

Almost all the staff members were banned?I dont think ill do that to myself on my forums ...
