Glad you swung by and put in your votes as well, buddy!

Well, it's up to the jury members now, isn't it? When will the winners be announced?

Great, the voting has begun! I just put in my votes. Will this be advertised on the other boards as well, to make other members who don't come here very often aware of it?

The gurders are from the Home depot its's the stuff made for drywall at corners and or concrete

I thought I'd seen those things before. Clever thinking! And a great (and big, no doubt) playset! Reminds me of Hangarbay94's Endor Landing platform. Your set would look terrific next to it.

I also love the real lights you put in there.

Excellent work all around  :)

Soooooooo...........does this mean that my Weeguay Skiff Master is NOT eligible  for the contest???  :: :'(

:) No, I didn't say that, I just noticed you using the term "SA" and the question came up in my mind. It's just I wanted some clarity on this matter for the participants, so there can be no discussion. And like Paul said, not all characters have to be SA, such as Weequay. I'm making an Endor Soldier, which has to be SA....

< goes upstairs to count the poa..... >

Phew, yep! Counted 14  ;D

Here's a WIP shot, by the way:

Great looking Weequay, Quantum7 and welcome to JD! Splendid job on his head and torso, very true to the original one. Great retooling of the head as well, like Ryan mentiond Speaking of the original one, the first Weequay was the '83 Kenner figure  ;) Inmho that one has one of the best damn poses of the Kenner line and an equally quality head sculpt.

Just want to check something though: how many poa should an SA figure for this contest have? I thought at least 14: head, shoulders, elbows, waist, knees, feet (ball jointed) and hands, hips (swivel).

I'm in the process of painting my custom figure, which is a SA Rebel Commando.

I went to the Wolfmother concert in Amsterdam on the 15th. A great gig and even more so, since I was able to take my DSLR with me, without any harrasment by security folks. I was able to take great shots from the band, much better than my old 3.2 megapixel Canon compact cam.

Here's a couple of shots  :)

Forgot I never posted pics of my Yakface - these aren't the absolute best pics, but they show the condition well. It's a great figure.

It's still weird to see him in my cabinet - that figure always seemed so unattainable for so many years.

That IS an excellent Yakface Carpeteria3000! No paint rubs, do I see that right? Very very nice.

I've got my Yakface back for some time now, with some minor paint rubs on his hands. You see, I sold my own (from my childhood) to a sci-fi store in Florida in the late 80s for $10 or so. Stupidest thing I've ever done and I'm real happy with my current one.

I bought a Durge w/Swoop from Brent, which unfortunately got lost during shipping to Holland. In my 15 or so years of int'l transactions, luckily such a thing is a rare occasion, but it is a risk. Although I didn't ask for any action on Brent's part (like I said, these things happen), he immediately sent a refund.

Brent's been a great guy all through our deal and despite our first deal gone bad (thanks, Canadian or Dutch Postal Services!) I'd deal with him again in an instant.

EDIT: weirdest thing happened: Durge finally showed up this very day! So, thanks for a sweet deal after all, Brent and your refund has been refunded instantly, of course!  :D

Question: any specifics concerning the pictures? Should the custom be photographed in front of a neutral background? Two pics is the limit (no problem), any specific poses, i.e. one 'neutral' pose and one 'action' pose (for the SA customs, for instance)?
