I was curious, on MR's site, it lists the Anakin (ROTS), Vader, as well as a Luke (ESB) saber "coming this summer".  I think if I chose just one, I'd sooner go with a Luke saber, just more of a connection to the OT.  Is that saber indeed coming this summer, and if so, does anyone know exactly when?  Also, is there a better place to order from than MR's site?

I have the Luke ESB F/X saber, and it is a thing of beauty!  It lights up and powers off just as the new ones do, but is a bit bigger and bulkier, due to requiring 6 batteries (instead of 3, as the new Vader ESB and Anakin ROTS do).  It is my favorite saber design, and has the most sentimental value for me, so I went with it.  In retrospect, I would probably still go for Luke's, even though Anakin's is pretty simillar, but closer in size to an "actual" lightsaber.

Basically, even though Luke's is newer, it is still bigger than the new generation F/X sabers (the Anakin and Vader sabers  mentioned previously), but still has the new generation sounds and light up features.  For my money, there was no other choice!   ;D

Oh...pant...those aren't bad either...sigh.  You're killing me!  :)  However, just to pacify our family members, I better stick to the orignal two.  Maybe stick isn't such a good verb here.   :o

F.Y.I.-you can now join the Master Replica Collector's Society via their phone number:
call 1-866-REPLIKA
You can't join on line yet for some reason, but I just called them and signed up.  The mini Darth Maul full size is shipping in early June (only avaialbe until December), and they are sending all of the coupons via email.  It cost $59.95, but is probably worth it once you get all of the coupons.   :)

You may be aware of this already, but I thought I'd pass it along!

Quick first attempt from one of our less talented photoshoppers here.  Feel free to use one for the time being:

But we'll see if one of the pros here to get those cleaned up a bit for ya', Dan.

EDIT:  One more for ya' Dan.  Cleaned up, but unfortunately cropped too.  :-\

Unfortunately, they're both rectangular pix, so they'd have to be cropped a bit.  I trust you'd be bummed if you lost her nice stomach in the first one, or rack in the second one though, yeah?

Cough...need oxygen...too much mammory goodness... ;D

Oh man...life doesn't get any better than this!!  The second one with the rack is absolute gold!!   ;D  Matt, I think you've got a friend for life after this.   :D  I will add this sample one for now.  Looks pretty good!  Hey Aayla, how you doin'?   ;)

FYI I couldn't open the last one, but I can't imagine it being any better than the rack picture!  Man, I'm pathetic! :-[

You guys will have a friend forever in Dan if you get that Aayla Secura avatar for him.  The guy has it really bad for both Amy and Aayla.  You practically have to wipe the drool from his mouth at C3 when he got his autograph and pic with her.

Just joking Dan!!!  Well...sort of.

LOL!   ;D  I think I may have tripped over my tongue, but she is kinda purty... ;)

Indeed, I remember meeting you with Brian that Friday night.  Sorry we didn't get a chance to hang out longer...  Anyway, welcome to JD and enjoy the ride...  8)

As for the Aayla avatar, definite oversight there by us.  We'll get our crack avatar staff to work on that right away, and give you a holler when we've got one ready to go for ya'!

- Matt

Thanks bud!  That is much appreciaited!  It is good to know that you guys take care of people here.  Much beterr than some...ahem...other sites.   ;)

Hello,

I am reading this book know and have found it extremely well written and informative.  To date no spoilers it is very helpful in filling in some gaps from AOTC.

I agree that it is very informative about Grievous and Dooku and would consider it a must read.  The book is feeding my jones for the movie.

DBK

That is really great to know!!  Thanks!  :)  It looks cool, but I am as spoiler free as they come, so I really want to avoid any plot details.   :-X  I trust you though!

Would you say this book is spoiler free?  I really want to check it out, but will wait until after I see Episode III if this book has spoilers. :-[

Come one, come all to hear the wonderful news: In 2006, we will finally see replica props from the second coolest trilogy of all time: INDIANA FREAKING JONES!
Anyhoo, he's folks it's true: we'll be getting a Fertility Idol, Staff of Ra Headpiece and the best item of all: the Grail Diary!

This is awesome news!!  I would love to get the Staff of Ra Headpiece!! ;D

I ordered the Yoda mini on www.target.com and it's the normal price for these things.  I haven't seen this .45 offered anywhere else, so I figured I'd better jump on it.

I have discussed this in a few threads, but can't get much of a response.  Has anyone noticed how Vader's saber in ROTS looks much more like the one in Empire than the one in ANH (I mean specifically the grip).  That is just annoying from a chronlogical standpoint.

No problem Morgbug!  That site has gotten me a lot of the minis.

Has anyone noticed that Target is offering the Yoda mini only on their web site?  Not only did I not know this was coming out so soon, but I didn't know it would be an exclusive.  It is not on the Master Replica web site.  Anyone have any information on this?

Can you spell check on these boards?   ???

Only need to hit 100 for the loss of the hideous yellow saber ;) And by the way, welcome :)

Thanks bro!  Good to be here.  Looking forward to tihs.  :)

In response to your first question, nope, not a completeist (blasphemy, I know). Just that I want one FX of each colour and that is the only available green saber. I'm a bit of an OT purist (but obviously not completely given I want an FX Windu) so I'd rather have a Luke saber than say if they came out with a Qui-Gon saber. I could live with the latter, but prefer the former.

I fon't know if you are familliar with this site, but I have gotten a lot of Master Replica stuff from them.  They have the Mace F/X saber available for pre-order.  Good luck!

I really haven't heard too many good things about the Luke ROTJ F/X saber.  I assume you just want it from a completist standpoint?  Personally, the Luke ESB saber is outstanding.  It's just before the new design (where they are lighter and more accurate to scale), but the light up is excellent!

I'm not used to being such a newbie on message boards.   8)  When can I get a better color lightsaber?   ???

Collector's Tips / Re: Moving a collection
« on: May 9, 2005, 04:19 PM »
Well, whenever I move, I put all my stuff in rubermaid containers, and never have had a problem.  Of course, I make sure and move the Star Wars stuff myself, so as to avoid any "Imperial Entangelments."   ;D

I don't know what to tell you about the garage thing.  I would be interested to see what otheres think.  You ought to just give your stuff to me, and I'll watch over it for you.   ;)
