I wouldn't mind adding him to my 400% collection. I'm running out of room to display them and have yet to figure out how to display all my carded ones in the cases I bought.

I only have the 400% Vader, but I'm all over a 400% 3PO, especially since he appears to be chromed.

That is one fantastic looking 400% figure.  I have to imagine that figure will go in the $200-$300 range when it's released...

Do you think sellers read these threads and see what we, the buyers, think the price will be, and then set their prices accordingly?  Someone speculated about the Parco Vader as "going to go for at least $300", then one appeared on ebay for a BIN of exactly $300.  They'd be silly not to do this, since we wouldn't be completely surprised by the starting price, that's what we guessed it to be, so we may be more likely to buy it at that price.

I cringe when I see people quoting high prices on items not yet released like this, partly for this reason.  I do think this figure will be highly sought after, I'm going to try to find one and I don't yet own any 400%ers (but I have all currently released SW kubs, except for the Jawa chase), but do you think we may actually be hurting ourselves by telegraphing our expectations on price like this?

"I don't see this figure selling for more than $90 or so."   (Let's see if this works... =)

It's a possiablity they do read here, we have many guests that do. The $300. mark which I quoted on the Vader was a going rate based upon past releases even tho I was off by a pennie.  ;D  Heck, other rare carded figures have been listed at $300. & have been bin'd & intime a price drop. God I know.   :-\

Seeing what prices are being listed I think has no bearing on what we might guess here, these speculation prices are based like I mentioned are based on past auctions & the price increase. I keep the odd tabs/records of Kuby auctions high/low so it's kinds easy to see a rate of what they might go for.  ;)

As for the 400% 3PO, I can't see that going for the $200-$300 range, $90. is not bad. My guess, $100.-$120. range & that will depend on the edition size.

I agree. I would say $150 max, but hopefully lower. Unless it's some crazy limited edition or something.

I've been avoiding all the 400% bears, but a 400% 3PO might be right up my alley!  Like most of these oversized guys, it all depends on the price.

3PO does look pretty sweet especially with the vac-metal finish, but I haven't gotten into this scale. Now show me a 400% Yoda and we'll talk.

I'm disappointed by the lack of entries in this scale. I want to see (and buy) a 400% Gamorrean, Amanaman, and Yakface. Medicom can't ever be counted upon to follow through with even a 400% Biker Scout (with bike!) but it's better than saying nothing.

Same deal, no charge till they get them & the item is processed.

When will I have to pay for my order (i.e., when will my credit card or PayPal account be charged)? (http://www.hlj.com/faq/q43.html)

NCS has their pre-order up:

NCS 400% C-3PO (http://www.shopncsx.com/kubrick400starwarsc-3po.aspx)

Looks like it's slightly higher than HLJ at $108.90.  I'm going to need to think about whether or not it makes more sense to pay cheaper shipping from NCS or a cheaper price from HLJ for both this and Deluxe Series 1.

I've ordered several items from DA Toys (also sells on eBay) - he's offering up pre-sale on a limited stock of 3PO's that he's ordered.  I've chatted with him a lot since Series 8 was released and he's always been really, really fair with me.  Anyway, his pre-order price for repeat customers is $99.99 + shipping.  So I've pre-ordered a 3PO with him (just waiting on a confirmation email).

It is an advance in sculpting these Kubricks (lego style) figure

not a equivalence, only a similarity

It only lack a new detailed sculpt of legs and these action figures would get better definition.

A couple sellers on ebay have the C-3PO figure listed and are showing actual pictures.  I really like the packaging and am glad they went back to a window box display (like Vader) instead of the completely enclosed boxes they have been using lately.

I received my 400% 3PO in the mail today.   Loving the vacu-metal finish.  I haven't opened him out of his box.  I'm quite pleased the box has a smaller footprint compared to the other 400% figures.

The vac metal is really nice.  I've taken both of these guys out of the box but put them back in since I don't want anything to happen to that finish.  BTW, removable limbs C-3PO is just as shiny.   :)

Yeah, I don't think the ebay prices are worth it either. I got mine directly from the Project 1/6 website (through a local personal contact).  C-3PO is definitely the better of the two.
