Dialing it down a little from the last few:

I know many fine feathered friends
but their friendliness depends on how you do.
They know many sure fired ways
to find out the one who pays
and how you do.

I'm looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me feel so good,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I know my life will be as it should

Truly one of my favorite records of the last 5 years.  I've listened to it probably 80 times over the last 8 months  and finally saw the movie a few weeks ago...and its just as good.
Oscar Winning Soundtrack!   :)

Clicky to stream from official site.

I never bothered to listen to this, despite the good reviews, despite the good word-of-mouth, despite the fact that it was streaming for free, and despite the fact that I like Robert Plant and I really like Alison Krauss.

But I was watching the Oscars the other night and saw a new J.C. Penney ad they ran a couple of times with some really cool background music in it.  The first time I saw it, I couldn't place it, but the second time I saw it, I thought "hey, that's Alison Krauss."  (Couldn't place Plant at all.)  Googled the lyrics and sure enough, it was a song from this album.  "Killing the Blues."  Really pretty stuff.

Listening to the whole thing now, on the site.  I really like what I'm hearing.  They sound great together.  Should have picked this up when it came out last year!

I just found these guys. Holy ****. Imagine the bastard lovechild of DragonForce and Hans Zimmer. Or possibly the LOTR soundtrack as played by Iron Maiden.

I ended up getting the full 36 songs from Amazon tonight.  The official site was down for maintenance, and they directed people to Amazon.  I had heard a few songs on the radio today and really liked what I heard.  Can't beat the price either...

I had listened to this album last summer but I finally bought it this January in Ireland. It has one "new" track but is missing one of the tracks from the US version (one of my favorites actually) so it's basically a wash. (iTunes to the rescue!)

According to Wiki there are four releases:

USA
UK/Europe/Canada
Australia / Hong Kong
Japan

and they are all slightly different. I guess I should have waited a few years for the definitive edition with like twenty tracks. ::)
