Kohl's had 2 SW exclusives a few years back, so ya - they're a player to some extent.

Weren't those the Wookiee Copter and the AT-RT exclusives?

Almost.  I think it was the BARC Speeder and AT-RT.  They each came with an extra figure packed in.  I think I have the BARC but not the AT-RT.

   E...

I believe you're both right.  The assortment was the bonus clone with AT-RT, bonus wookie warrior with BARC Speeder, and the Wookie copter, since I got all three at the same place.  The Copter did not have a bonus figure though.  I think I still have a spare set of the bonus figure packs or at least one of them.

Wasn't Kohl's also the hot spot for a few basic figure runs?  I remember there was a Palpatine variation from ROTS that I tracked down there and some of the harder to find figures like Black Suited Clone Pilot.  They were also a hot spot for the TAC (wave 5?) EU figures (Revan, Malek, etc.).  Every once in a while they're worth checking into...

Kubricks / Re: Recent Acquisitions
« on: November 21, 2009, 11:16 PM »
Received Logray in the mail today. Payed 122.96 shipped (not a great deal but O.K.). Now I just need the VC Jawa to complete series 3.

That's a nice grab.  I was hoping to land that for about $100 as well as one of the harder chases to come across, but $123 is still a very nice price.  Well done GT!

Yay!  That's one down at least.

I like it too, it's very unique looking/different.  Kind of action-y, it's attractive to the eye...  I too wonder though what Legacy's going to look like now.

Good question.  It's supposed to be very differentiated, so I would guess it will look exactly the same, but with a Stormtrooper in place of the Clone Trooper.   ;)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What are some movies you can't stop watching?

The Replacements and Shawshank definitely make my list - good selections.

I cannot stand The Fifth Element though - I would rather watch Waterworld looped six times back-to-back.

Wow, I didn't think I could vomit that much after eating only 3 meals today.

Got my order from Toy Rocket today and everything looks good outside of the item that they reimbursed me for.  As a bonus, I didn't realie I had ordered the CW Assassin Droid x2, so was shocked to see these in the box!  Looks like this is a safe bet - order at will!

I wouldn't got that far yet...

I emailed them early this afternoon and I just checked now and I haven't heard back from them yet.  I know, I shouldn't panic and give them time to respond.  However, when I call and I try to contact them and no one picks up and it goes to their answering machine, then tells me to leave a message, but I cannot because the answering machine is full - that gives me a little reasoning to be concerned...   :o

edit:  also, live chat operators = not available....

edit x2:  finally got a hold of someone on the phone.  he said my order is taking so long because it was so large (33+ items) and they had to locate evrything in their warehouse.  he said now i should receive a shipping notice Friday or Monday.

Well, I have received multiple notices saying that they got way more orders in than expected and that there would be delays of 5-7 days.  I was getting these even after my shipment was sent out, so I assume they've gone to everyone who ordered including yourself.  Sending an email and getting a response same day is relatively rare in my experience.  Even big retailers like Target often say they will get back to you in 24-48 hours.

I’m just a sample of one, but outside of the item that they removed from my order, everything went smoothly with my order.  I got a well packed box of all the items I ordered and everything was in very good shape, so I would order from them again.

I want all the variants!  I'd gladly take any of these over Duddly Solo and his Power-Ranger sized Stormtrooper Helmet.  I don't get why this is such a cluster for Hasbro.  They didn't seem to have problems with variants in the initial Legends line where we had like 5 sandtroopers, 4 different battle droids, etc.  Why didn't they just pack these into later waves instead of the other crap re-packs that are warming the pegs?

Wow, that's looks awesome.  Can't wait to see how they incorporate it into carded figures.

I have nothing to say about Mike other than thank you for getting the 350 pounds of Joe crap out of my car.  I think I have a flat tire from all the excess weight.   :P

Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: 2010 Disney Star Tours Box Set
« on: November 20, 2009, 01:33 PM »
Blech - no thanks.  I liked the Jedi Acadamy set enough to buy two of them, but not interested in the Star Tours crew at all.  I'm a hard core completist and I still haven't bothered to pick up all of the Star Tours Droids.

While I'd buy crew members, no questions asked.  I got all the Star Tours stuff, being one of the few 1980s Star Wars areas left mostly unexplored before 2000, I'd gladly go grab more.   Bring that stuff on, I'm all for it.   (Heck, put a crew member or two in a box with Teek and two droid repaints and I'd probably even overpay for it.)  I'm 100% behind more 1980s-based stuff, the weirder, the better.

Okay Hasbro, you heard it here.  Please produce 5 boxes of the Crew Member set for Adam and the 4 other people who might be interested in Star Tours crew members.  Blech.

By Vindicator you mean Guardian, correct?

Man, I'm having a rough time keeping up on these.

I need the Jean Grey wave (all of the new figs from that wave).

Sorry, yes, I mean Guardian.  Is Vindicator the female version of Guardian?  I was never very interested in Alpha Flight.

Big thanks to Steve for helping me out with some great carded Wave 11 figures.  He also grabbed a Scanning Trooper for me and had prompt payment on an Uggy and a few Kubricks.  Thanks Steve!

Thanks to Ryan for a sweet trade the other night.  Nabbed two new comic packs in exchange for a sultry Leia and some Spacetrooper bodyguards.
