Title: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Nicklab on October 17, 2012, 05:44 PM
Finally seeing TVC figures other than the AOTC wave at 5 Below stores.  I spotted the following today:

___  VC25 - R2-D2 with pop-up lightsaber & drink tray
___  VC26 - Rebel Commando
___  VC38 - Clone Trooper (212th Battalion)

WAVE 6 (2011 WAVE 2)
___  VC44 - Luke Skywalker (Dagobah Landing)
___  VC45 - Clone Trooper
___  VC46 - AT-RT Driver
___  VC47 - General Lando Calrissian
___  VC48 - Weequay (Skiff Master)
___  VC49 - Fi-Ek Sirch (Jedi Knight)

AT-RT Drivers for $5?  Nice!  It's probably one of my favorite Clones in the TVC line.

Stormtrooper,  AOTC Obi-Wan and Senate Guard are the other 3 figures in Wave 6 cases.  Pretty good army builder case...though I don't want any senate guards.

Are they shipping the corrected stormtroopers, or the ones with the messed up helmet paint?

Thanks for that heads up Nick.  Time to put 5Below back on the menu.

I neglected to post about the Stormtroopers.  They were there, too.  And the helmet paint actually looked decent.  But I have so many Stormtroopers that I passed.  I just picked up an AT-RT Driver and a Senate Guard.

Interesting to see that a site that I USED TO be affiliated with picked up Jesse's front page posting at JD based on this post I made.  And it's another prime example of someone over at that site not doing his own reporting work.  Hmmmmm.

My 5 Below here in Pgh started putting out more vintage figs.  Lando General, At-RT, Luke Dagobah landing, etc.  all are at $5ea.  They still have some of hte AOTC wave...Obi-Wan, Super Battle Droid, Mace, etc.

Good news since I pretty much skipped a lot of figs overh the last few years.  $10 a pop... eh, but at $5 a pop...not too shabby.

I can also now confirm seeing what I feel is maybe one of the better waves of army builders at 5 Below also.

I picked up what everyone else is seeing...  AOTC Clone, AT-RT Driver, Endor Rebel, Dagobah Pilot Luke, and Stormtrooper...

I'm going to pick up more Stormtroopers I think, as I like the rifle, and I may nab a couple 212th Clones since the ones I saw are clean helmets for the most part.  The Stormtroopers were as well.

If I see RFT's at $5?  I think I'll blow an entire paycheck at 5 Below.

Not the right place for it, I know, but could anyone pick me up some AT-RT Drivers at their Five Below if you see them?  I'm looking to get three of them (if possible), and don't have a Five Below anywhere near me.  PM me if you can help. :)

Doc P, I'll be in touch with you.  I get paid this week, and I'll try to pick you up three.

Just a heads up you CANNOT return to 5 Below, so everyone should be aware of that.  If you're buying, you're stuck with it. :)

Just wanna spread the word on that little detail as it's something I think most people aren't aware of with their stores.  You buy it, you keep it.

Mys tore had 3 but I won't be back till the weekend just so you're aware.

FYI,

The Five Below in Monroeville had all the above mentioned figures late last week.  As far as returning they will give you in store credit ONLY.

They had the ST with corrected pant job,as well as the earlier AOTC wave  Zam, SBD, Mace, Obi- Amidala ugly gown, etc.  What is niceis they put them on the shelf vs. hangng them, so you get the unpunched cards...trouble iafter a few weeks the cardbacks  are beat to hell.

Not a sale per se, but I have it from a friend who runs a 5 Below that she got an email regarding the "new" (new for that store) Vintage Figures.

She told me they got word that there was to be a Star Wars wheel barrow display going up in the near future at the front of the store, similar to last year.  She wouldn't commit to saying it would have new product, but she got word from higher up to do the display after Halloween's display comes down or something along those lines, and she said usually that means new cases of stuff.

She said they don't always know what's coming, but usually those displays get new items.  It's probably what's been found (AOTC Clone, AT-RT Driver, any remaining AOTC wave stuff too), but she said she's sure her higher-ups were really pleased with sales of figures last year.  They were floored, actually, and she said they're "aggressively" trying for more because it was a bit of an experiment that went smashingly.

If 5 Below could just get their hands on any of those vintage waves after the Deleted Scene wave, I would be more than happy to throw money at them. I don't see how there are still cases of that pre-TPM stuff floating around out there. How much of that stuff did they make anyway?

Has anyone seen the deleted scene wave at 5 Below? I found the AOTC wave when I was out of town last week, but I actually need a Lando and Colonel Cracken from the deleted scenes wave.

Jesse, your friend is a great source of info. I found this at Five Below this morning:

I noticed all of the 212th Clone Troopers had pristine white helmets. I recall all revisions of the 212th troopers last year had green helmets (or at least all revision assts I saw), so I'm inclined to think Five Below might have ordered an additional production run just for their stores.

At 5 bucks a pop unpunced...Five Below has quickly jumped up on the "My favorite stores" list.

Don't get too excited about the figures being unpunched! At the store I visited, most cards were bent due to the figures being dumped into a wheelbarrow, so don't expect minty fresh packages.

Almost all cards I got from last year's assortment were perfect really...  The ones at my nearest store, of the current stuff showing up, were all curled.  At another store I visited today to help out someone on AT-RT Drivers, they were perfect and unpunched...  *shrugs*  It's hit and miss.  I didn't find them being dumped in the wheel barrow to affect them TOO much generally.

I will note though that the girl that waited on me today specifically said they were being told to handle them carefully since they're considering them collectibles, and know adults are wanting them as well.  I found that interesting.

She said they'd just gotten a couple more cases in this weekend of the "new" assortments too and put them out.

They had them here. It's too much...$5 figures and good ones. I had to stop at $20...2 stormtroopers (yes, the non-unibrow version), AT-RT driver and that Nikto Jedi (even though he'll be a peg warmer...I never got him before). I can see myself spending $20 a week there for as long as they have anything worth buying.  :P

TRU finally got Wave 6? The Lost Line wave. Now that the old sale is over. JERKS. Had a two day sale 2 for $15.99. But I passed, I can get 3 figures at 5 Below, and I wanted Leia, but the regular card version was sold. All the NEW GUN sandtroopers were sold. Funny I saw some woman with her daughter "they have Princess Leia....she looks strange. And Darth Vader but his head is clear...don't like that Darth Vader."

CONSUMER'S WRATH DARTH VADER! Not good enough for her daughter!

And like clockwork the displays went up Friday...  Pretty nice to see, and I noticed at several stores they had put out fresh cases.  The way you could tell was the cards weren't punched.  The rest had been on pegs already.

Last year's remnants were out too, still, and probably will be for quite a while.  No new stock of last year's figures though.

On my casual observation today too, I'm noticing the new cases are going quick...

-Endor Rebels
-Stormtroopers
-AT-RT Drivers
-Fi Ech Sirch Nikto Jedi
-Dagobah Luke

These 5 were all pretty scarce or non-existant.

The AOTC Clone was next...  going a little slower but going.

General Lando and the 212th were everywhere for the most part, as was Bar2D2 and the remnants from last year (mostly OWK, Zam, SBD, and Padamadme with some Anakin's mixed in here and there).

It's telling of how bad things were/are, when I saw more of the figures from those cases at 5 Below in one day than I saw all of last year at every store I went to combined. (And that wave I actually did see a few times)

Thanks for the wheel barrow notice, I probably would've walked right past it. Though, they had plenty on pegs...which I preferred because I'd just as soon leave unpunched for those who care.

I saw the wheelbarrow.  I had a few figs in hand for my son, but the line was insane.  I'll go back today to see if it is any better.

I did happen to get the new Sandie and a Bespin Leia from TRU during their sale.

I mean, they can't just be getting cases of Gamorrean guards, right? This has to be part of a larger wave? Maybe the revision wave with Evazan?

I'll keep an eye peeled...  I told ya bigger and better things may be on the way to 5 Below.  My source was pretty spot on.  I'm just curious what wave it was that shipped?  Was it the original ROTJ wave?  That'd kinda be meh.  I'd rather see some of the newer waves that he was repacked in.

So...from the comments posted over at JTA, it sounds like this was the back-in-the-day revision wave with Wedge, NOT the wave Gammy was carried forward in earlier this year, which IMO was waaaaaay better.

So this is a little less appealing, to me at least. I guess we won't actually see all the missing waves from this year until 2013. That's a long time to wait for a Shae and Starkiller I refuse to pay a penny over MSRP for. Damn.

The figures in wave 3, Revision 11 cases were:

 1x VC14 Sandtrooper
1x VC15 Clone Trooper (Ep III)
 1x VC20 Yoda
1x VC21 Gamorrean Guard
1x VC22 Admiral Ackbar
1x VC23 Jedi Luke Skywalker
1x VC24 Skiff Guard - Wooof (Klaatu)
1x VC25 R2-D2 with Lightsaber and Drink Tray
1x VC26 Rebel Commando
1x VC27 Wicket
1x VC28 Rebel Pilot Wedge Antilles
1x VC08 Darth Vader

Good news if you wanted that earlier Wedge release (the cards were different, weren't they?) I missed Wicket and never felt like paying after market for him. Heck, I could get two one for each hood.

MOTHERLODE!!!  ;D

I stopped by the same 5 Below I hit last night on the way home tonight just for kicks, and lo and behold, MULTIPLE CASES of TVC Wave 3 had been put out! From the looks of it, I was the first to arrive also...I laid quite a swath of destruction on them.

Walked out with 4 X Gammies
                          3 X Wickets
3 X Wedge (On the ORIGINAL card no less!)

If they had had more Gammies on the pegs, I would have bought every freaking one of them.

Picked up four Gamorrean Guards and a Weequay Skiff Master at Five Below last night on the way home.

The thing I was most amused about was the fact that the case my store got was the one that had Wedge in it - so in addition to all of the other ROTJ figures on the pegs, there were like 6 Wedge figures there too.  :-X

What do you consider to be the original? I know there was something about the back being changed at one point, so I'm not sure, I don't follow variations that closely.... (sorry) - if you can show me pics as examples, I can tell you since I did pick one of the Wedge's up and look at it.

Nice scores guys!  Congrats on the cheap Piggies.

Pete - thanks for the offer.  I thought there was more of a card change, but I guess it's just the photo depicted on the back.  The original shows the full card on the top/back, while the newer version just shows a close up of Wedge.  I'd still take one if you can find a minty one (especially unpunched), but not a must have I suppose.  Thanks!

I went to the store near me and found nothing but General Landos, skiffmasters, Nikto jedis, senate guards and Rebel commandos.

almost got a commando, but those will be in the ROTJ wave, too. Besides, no heads to swap out with. Hasbro and their dumb rebel facial hair obsession.

Curto found the wheelbarrow and posted it on twitter, but I've not checked mys tores again.   I'll check this week when I'm out, but I just didn't have the energy to go shopping anymore than I already did.

I'm hoping filled to the brim for the week before Xmas but who knows.  The Gammie I got was at a store that had zippo but had put out 5 cases, so he was definitely new.  They have more stock if they haven't done the wheelbarrow display yet...  Still not sure they ARE doing it, or if it's a flex thing they can do at random if they have the stock for it.  Mine are still up at the register.

Know who's selling like hotcakes?  Ackbar.  Weird huh?

Endor Rebels here too, they had a lot from the pre-ROTJ assortment, but he's moving.  Sandtroopers hit, and again they're moving fast.

Remember the 212th and white ROTS Clones people said didn't sell because they sucked?  Well $5 seemed to dillute that a little bit.  I passed on all the 212th because I had plenty, but now I kinda regret it.  Haven't seen one since their case initially hit.

I'm hoping Sandtroopers last into 2013 so I can nab one now and then like I did when they hit last year.  I'll adjust to Endor Rebels but they take customizing to make really great IMO.  :(  Sandtroopers were just fun to bust open a bunch and keep adding to the Empire every time I had $5 burning a hole in my pocket and nothing else to buy.

I got a couple Gammies there a month ago.  They had pegs in back, where I found one... none in wheelbarrows, but I was satisfied to pick that up... until I got to the registers where they had another set of pegs devoted to figures, where I found a second.  And I verified my Wedge that it's different than the earlier release.

I went by one of these stores the other day.  They had a few from the Ackbar waves. but not much.  However, it's good to have another place to look.

What all is out may not be what all is there.  Last year the manager showed me how many cases they had in back of the AOTC wave...  It was insane.  I'd say 2 dozen sealed cases.  She let me pick some Sandtroopers out.

Not sure that's the same this year but it may be that there's more ROTJ cases lingering about.  I know my store still had a good many figures from that and the previous wave left, but they up and disappeared one day.

I was just wondering today if they would still be stocking any figures or not going forward. The one near me sold through most of what they had in their wheelbarrows, so it seems to have done well for them. They're definitely worth a stop for me at least once or twice a week...

Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Jesse James on December 29, 2012, 01:54 PM
I disagree...  I think price is the bigger factor in what moves or not, though immediately after the holidays isn't going to help.  They'd have done a lot better in the weeks beforehand.

Anyway, all the figures everyone said sucked flew out the door of 5 Below when they got them in.  Even the ones they have had that have lingered like some of the AOTC Wave figures, each store was getting literally dozens of cases and sold through easily 90% of it...  It's price, not perceived quality or anything.  $5 just blows stuff out the door.  I think these TPM3D figures will go.  Some more than others (Astromech, Destroyers, Naboo guys whose heads swap well, etc.), but I think they'll move alright over time.

I agree - the price at $5.00 is going to move most of those figures.  Especially anyone with a lightsaber or an army builder.  If I see DTF stuff, I'll be buying more Tuskens for sure, maybe the Destroyer Droid and Gungans too.  Just too good of figures to pass up for that price.

Still free shipping $25+?  Or did that end with Christmas?

I'm Geeked for the destroyer.  It's a great figure and the shield was better.

most things sold by amazon are always free shipping over $25

the things that aren't free shipping are usually just sold via another seller on amazon, but even then a lot times they can still qualify for free shipping

I haven't seen any new figs at 5 Below since aroudn the holidays (I hit the one in Monroeville, and occasionally the one in Pigh Mills)!

If you think of it and ever see new figs show up there, please shoot me an email.  I've been trying to gra one of ea. now that they are $5.

Thanks!

By the way they just got in the Fighter Pods.  4 packs are $3.  At that price, I grabbed 2 packs for the kids.

I found more Wal-Mart TPM figures at Five Below yesterday. It was an odd assortment (no gungans, two each of the Destroyer and R5 droids, then one each of the rest) so it looks like they might be splitting cases. I happily picked up the Maul and Sand People, which were the two figures not present the first time I found the wave, as well as the two Destroyer Droids. This wave did suck at $10 per figure, but at $5 it's really great!

I scored some DTF figures a couple of days ago, too.  At $5 a piece I was happy to pick up another Tusken Raider, the Gungan and the R5 droid.

Saw a mix at 5 Below tonight.  Checked for my 2nd DD tonight but it wasn't there to be had.  They had some good figures, Naboo Pilots and whatnot, but I wasn't interested in more at the moment.  Staying strong on more things from a movie I have grown to not really like.

Saw CHEWIE found those in MO...  Sometimes they're a lil flukey but I'm hoping those hit hard.  It's also possible that was stock meant for another front wheelbarrow display...  I'm hoping that is coming with a but load of Wave 3 figs. :)  I'll be all DST stocked. :D

You're in MO too?

It's the randomness of this that makes me wonder if it wasn't a store that had little old stock and put out new as soon as they got it, while others may be holding onto new stock because there isn't room...  Or because a larger display is planned.  My friend told me 5Below has been pretty happy with how figures have sold...  They've done the wheelbarrow displays now for a couple years.  I wouldn't be shocked to see another.

My stores have plenty Walmart wave on the pegs here and some straggler aotc Zams.  I'm suspecting another big figure dump at all their stores is brewing.

I hit both of the closest 5 Belows up at lunch...no traces of new waves at all. Same ole Woofs and DTF swag. Maybe it's a regional thing?

Still makes me hopeful that the Tarkin/Vizsla wave will show up someday.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Jesse James on July 15, 2013, 01:21 PM
5 Below tends NOT to be regional...  If one gets, they all will.  Like I said above, I think it's entirely possible this was a store with depleted (or no) stock, and wheelbarrow stuff came in and they put it out early...  I think a wheelbarrow display is a solid bet since they've done one now for a couple years.

Agreed, I'm hoping this is a big BIG thing with the displays like last year...  They're on the verge of gearing up for back-to-school which always seems to include toys.  My local friend with the company said they've really liked the collector-response to Star Wars stuff, and were happy with all they've gotten in...  Surprised by it really.

My stores mostly have DTF stuff around still, new cases put out again...  It was the same with AOTC wave and ROTJ/repaint stuff.  They put out tons and had a BOATLOAD more in the back.  Like absurd numbers.  She showed me the stacks of unopened cases of stuff at different times.  It was funny almost how many cases they had.  Never saw DTF but clearly they had a ton of that too.  I still nab an army builder or droid for fun.

I think this shows that the "sweet" spot for pricing on these is $5.  I wonder how the number ($) that the $5 units generated compares to the number the $10 units generated.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Jesse James on July 19, 2013, 05:22 PM
I think, and I obviously rarely shut up about it, that Hasbro should aim for $8 for "collector-targeted" 3.75" figures...  abandon SA all around, go back to 2006-2007 model...  2006-2007, figures went well.  Sales were brisk.  Lines were all popular.

No pack-in gimmick?  Fine...  I'd dig seeing things go that route though.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: P-Siddy on July 19, 2013, 06:14 PM
I wouldn't say abandon SA altogether.  Keep them on main characters (heroes, troopers, baddies) but the 15th Cantina alien or other background character doesn't need SA for sure.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Scockery on July 19, 2013, 06:18 PM
Doesn't matter, until they reduce production costs (relocating production facilities), things will get higher. Saga Legends will be $7 a figure by 2015 (or sooner).
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Jesse James on July 19, 2013, 06:23 PM
If they're still 10, cutting some major tooling out would help...  And that's what I meant Siddy, not dropping all SA, but making it more selective.

Again (and again, and again) I go to the POTC...  Was anyone bummed that Myo was as he was?  Or the Gotal?  Or Dannik Jerriko?  Angle-cut elbows are even good, to me, and non-ball jointed shoulders sometimes.  I think the sweet spot is $8.  $10's clearly not cutting it.

Buy yourself time to not have dismal years and look at moving production.  I don't know that they're even remotely considering moving production from China though, at all.  We think they should, but they may have things too tied up there to make it worth moving.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: CHEWIE on July 20, 2013, 12:23 AM
$8 would be great, with a fair mix of some SA figures and some that are lower quality... I've be happy with that.

Just hit up the Austin grand opening of Five Below and disappointing is an understatement. No Star Wars whatsoever outside of some puzzles, cards and shirts. Only action figures they had were two pegs of Thor and Iron Man 2 wave one figures from way back when.

Although apparently another store opened across town at the same time. I'll be TICKED if I find out they had cheap vintage figures.

Yeah, I'm starting to think those earlier Malgus sightings were just a fluke, and no "magic wheelbarrow of Malgi and INC goodness" is actually going to materialize after all.  :(

Not sure what they would be waiting for...it's officially back to school season and all.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: CHEWIE on August 2, 2013, 01:58 PM
It's really hard to say - how many cases of the Malgus wave made it to retail that Hasbro intended and how many got bought up by Five Below?  I have no clue.  I've gone back the same store twice now and they haven't put more out.

If anything, I'd expect to see more of the Starkiller wave later at discounters - that's the wave that had the lowest distribution from what I've seen... so there's got to be a lot of that just waiting to get through a distributor.

But Discover the Force?  They seem to have an unlimited supply at Five Below!  The Tusken, Destroyer Droid and Astromech move really fast.  The other figures, not so much.

Have they reset the wheelbarrow displays from BTS?  If not then there isn't a toy reset for them yet.  IIRC last year the TVC didn't hit those displays till far later than August.  I think it may yet happen...  Hard to say which waves would surface but I think it will.  I highly doubt one store in the country got wave 3 in and that's all she wrote. :p

Two stores near where I live in the Chicago burbs did get the Malgus wave, but eachno longer had the Malgus or INCs. A couple of CW Anakins and a Hoth Luke, but in the end mostly TPM figures. I figure each store got 5 cases of the wave based on the number of TPM figures.

Went by that same Five Below after work, and they must have put out another 4-5 cases over the weekend.

Someone gobbled up the Malgus figures, but I found two Navy Commanders and bought them both for customs, and two Hoth Lukes for customs.  They had at least 3-4 more Lukes and close to 10 of the Clone Wars Anakin (hate that figure).

So they are restocking - at least in my area.

Who knows how much Wal-Mart ordered of Discover the Force...a lot, it seems. And then there's the vintage carded release.

Since Hasbro hates money, they won't be reissuing Gammorean Guard, Imperial Royal Guard, Echo Base Trooper or anything from The Old Republic.
Title: Re: $5 Vintage Collection @ Five Below
Post by: Jesse James on August 6, 2013, 08:33 PM
Jeff, they're in a bit of an expanding period, so cross your fingers.

The Gungans came out during what amounted to a "movie year".  The Gammies hit during a holiday pegwarming glut if I recall and then what was left got dumped at 5 below...  The math adds up basically.

I'd agree with Greg too though, Gammies I think were more popular...  TPM3D was ultimately a retail failure.  I wouldn't be surprised if Gammies were quite numerically abundant.

My stores are littered with DTF only...  Nobody from that wave sells, but I'd wager my local store went through 10 cases before things stagnated?  For a while you couldn't get ANY of teh army builders and only QGJ and OWK were in any quantity.  Even Maul sold.

I'll probably keep buying $5 Sand Peeps as long as they are there...not everyone I see, but, yeah. Gungan's I'm iffy about because they are all scouts...if they were warriors with the shields and those energy ball thingies. Naboo pilots aren't much fun, though. I could have them stand around and wait for fighters that never arrive. I suppose the trenchcoats are decent custom fodder (never made sense to fly a space fighter with a duster on...yeah, I know they were going for retro early 20th century look.)

The most popular figure here was the astromech. Of course Maul sells, he's kid fiendly...er...friendly.

I'd say the  most popular of these figures in my area are as follows:

- Destroyer Droid (always sells fast - great sculpt and the shield is a great bonus)
- Astromech Droid
- Tusken Raider
- Darth Maul
- Gungan Warrior

...after that, the others just stare at other all day.  Well, Aurra sort of sells - just slow.  Those pilots though sit there forever.  I know I don't want more of them.  Even if I had several Naboo Fighters.  Most pilots to me are just kinda boring - that goes for the OT as well.  For some reason the only pilots that I ever really like are Snowspeeder ones.  I love those actually.

The figures you listed as popular, except for the Gungan, are the same ones that sold thru fast in my area. Yoda also sold fast. The Gungan and Mawhonic were all gone when I was at Five Below a couple days ago, but they were slow sellers. The Jedi, Pilots, and Aurra are "peg warming" a la the TVC Skiff Guards and Padmes. I'm sure they'll eventually move during the holdiays.

I would have been all over army building the Naboo Pilots and Gungans at $5, but I got plenty from Amazon when the TVC repacks were $2-3 each. I did end up getting something like 6 or 8 Destroyers, as well as several Tuskens (It's hard to remember how many i picked up at Wal-Mart way back when, and what I hoarded from 5 Below) so I guess I am part of the reason why those were scarce.

I went back today to see if they had pulled any more of these out of the back room and they were totally cleaned out. They must have sold through 3-4 cases easily in the space of about 2 days.

By comparison, my local Targets have probably not sold that many TVC figures collectively in the past 3 months.

Picked up a pair of INCs at my local Five Below on Monday - they were well picked over, so those two were the only ones left and the only figures worth getting. Was hoping for a few more INCs, but these two bring my count of opened INCs up to 10 so if I never find any more it's not like it's a big deal.

I picked up 5 more INC's yesterday from a 5 Below I don't normally get to very often, was the most interesting figure they had left. I hope they continue to dabble in SW for 2014, it's been a good source for otherwise MIA TVC figs.

Wish I could find more but the area's cleaned out and has been for a while.  I'd love to expand the INC army.  :-\

From what I've seen, Five Below stores blow through the TVC stuff so fast, it's insane... they are the only place that can more the TPM carry forwards... they do get stuck with some Qui Gons but I am hoping now after yet another sell-through with more Malgus cases, they are eager to get later waves of TVC.  I'm betting they will.

Scored another INC today.  Glad to see these are still trickling out.  And I'm also hoping that some of the later TVC waves will trickle out, too.  Although it might be overly optimistic for me to hope to see the TVC Emporer's Royal Guard and Old Republic Trooper turn up at 5 Below stores.

Stopped by today and although there was no new vintage out, I did see Wolverine and GI Joe figures there for the first time.

Joe stuff looks great, and I'm now on the hunt.

My local Five Below had no Joes at all, but they did have the Celebration 4 exclusive McQuarrie  Concept R2-D2 and C-3PO.  $5 each, still in clamshell packaging.

Only 1 of our stores around here got those, and I was amazed how fast they sold...only took a couple of days. Still had the Celebrations sticker on them and everything. I debated picking one up but they looked like poor fodder for customizing.

As luck would have it, I actually spied a couple of these at Tuesday Morning yesterday as well. I believe they were $5.99 there.

So yeah, this is apparently happening again. I saw a few new figures at my local 5 Below yesterday - Barriss, Vader, Hoth Luke, etc. Was hoping to see Nom Anor but no dice.

Still waiting on Shae Vizsla and Starkiller to show up here...

Nada here but saw some more GI Joes outta the blue...  Kinda wondering if they are not clearing out distribution centers/warehouses?  It's kind of odd how these are hitting.  Not their usual patterns.
