That is probably the correct price.  Wish I would have snagged one at the $30 oops price but $45 plus ship/tax is better than $70 on ebay.

That's what I figured.. I threw on another Shoretrooper set to get free shipping.  Seemed like instead of spending $11 or $12, I could just pick up more troops for $30 more.

Silly question - has anyone been able to remove 1-JAC's blasters?  Or are they molded on?

On one side, between the blaster and leg, i see a nub painted the same as the rest of the firearm. No way a painting apparatus could have that pinpoint accuracy. I think that nub is glued into a slot on the leg.

I like this set. The security droid is a surprise like for me. I might get another set once/if the c1-940 goes on sale.

They are glued on. But they look to my eye like they are sculpted in their holsters. I am happy to leave him as is.

The hands don't look like they're up to the task of holding those blasters.

So 1-JAC is on the way in The Black Series as a Walmart exclusive.  I wonder how long it might be before Hasbro gets to this droid?

I was way more excited for this set before I had it in hand. NED & 1-JAC kind of feel like Happy Meal toys (NED in particular). I feel like Disney is using a different plastic than Hasbro on these. If we ever get these in TVC I hope Hasbro takes a different approach. Overall the set is still ok, it just felt like a bit of a letdown.

Agreed.  Ned should have been a TVC offering.

Still should be… but until that droid model makes an appearance in some other series’ and they find a way to repaint him and sell him six times, I’m not getting my hopes up.

I'm really bummed that NED-B didn't come with his hammer.   I'm tempted to get another Retro version just to get a spare hammer for my Disney version.

I only bought this set for R3-T2; anyone interested in the others?

I got several of the set to have some NEDs  to hang around.  Agreed it sucks he doesn’t have his hammer, and the bounty hunter droid’s blasters and bandolier being molded on it kinda sucks.  The lack of joints on the probot sucks too… and the cherry on top was my last set I got, the NED’s foot broke off quite easily.  I agree Ryan, the plastic on these feels off.

The astromech was the cream of the crop in a way.  For less than retail the set is quite nice despite the gripes.  For full price the set is eh.  I’ll take it but it’s def not incredible.  The NED is nice despite one breaking on me so easily and I’ll happily have a little force for loading cargo.

I’m sending the broken one back for a replacement.  Kinda hoped they’d lemme keep it but no dice there.

If anyone missed this set and still wants it, ShopDisney has them for $29.99 again.
