Quazar: Thanks! I may go back and repaint it as soon as I get some paints. I always forget when I'm out, and that results in a verbal lashing from Famine.

CHEWIE: Thanks!

Ruprecht: Heh. I actually got rid of that collar altogether, so now he looks a bit more masculine. Actually I think Hasbro's robes make any figure look like a girl, I thought the same thing about Meena Tills. :P

And here's a Shadowstalker preview, where you can see the new Senator Beevo...

Guess who actually customized something!

Sadly this is the best pic that came out... I don't know why my camera struggles to take pics of 3.75 inch figures, yet can take perfect shots of Lego figures? ???

Anyway, his name is Senator Beevo. He'll have a role in Shadowstalker. Head and hands are a VTSC Greedo, body is Lushros Dofine. I may go back and color his "poofy collar" though.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Questions for Hasbro?

Why are store exclusive items so overpriced?

Are the new stands and holographic mini-figures really the reason for higher prices this year?

Is a new Speeder Bike planned for the near future?

One. Could have gotten two, but I passed on one for Commander Cody... boy was that a dumb decision. :-[

I'm sure this has been reported before, but I found some Coruscant wave figures today with RED holograms.

Variation hunters beware!

Diddly, why not just get the Target Senate packs?  For $20 you get two superior Shocktroopers, a Senate pod and a Palpatine you can customize.

 :)

True, but it's the Yoda and Palpatine actually keeping me from getting more. Plus, the way these are piling up, I'm hoping I can get some on clearance.

Here's one from Scum that I really liked... and Hasbro had a somewhat decent answer in my opinion for once on this subject.

...

Hasbro: We look to products that will produce the greatest return on our resource investment. Vehicles and figures are more popular play patterns for the kid audience than playsets, and the lines you referenced are squarely kid-targeted. We are looking to introduce some new 3-3/4” vehicles next year (and re-introduce some high demand ones this Fall).[/i]

This answer makes no sense. They don't even answer the question! If vehicles and figures are popular for kids, then why bother making **** like Customs and Attacktix?

Hasbro: You bet. This year in fact you'll see more mixing, especially later in the year, and troop builders will be key. However, we haven't created a specific clean Sandtrooper version yet.

WHEN DID THEY ASK ABOUT A CLEAN SANDTROOPER? Come on, Hasbro!

That's true, but I want a few of them, and the H&V/GB one may be hard to find... ;)

Ugh. I have to buy 3 crappy figures and a 4th Obi-Wan JUST to get a #6 Shocktrooper? The R2 looks cool though, and might actually fit in with other astromechs due to the unique paintings some have.

Heh, no, it's ok. I wish they'd make a lower ranked Imperial body for heads like that. My inspiration for using that head was probably Pyro from the X-Men movies, with the "spiked" hair and all. I'll have to search for an Antilles head to, sounds like a good idea.

No name for him, sadly, Findswoman.

I'm hoping to have some "better" customs over the next week or so though. ;)

Out of boredom, I decided to do a quick headswap custom for this month's contest!

First we have an Imperial Moff:

Recipe:

Head: OTC Dagobah Luke
Body: ROTS Tarkin

I know it stinks compared to the other work, but it was great for killing boredom :)

WOW! :o

I feel like I'm watching ANH with alternate camera angles! The walls and floor are very realistic. That drink dispenser is great! Wonderful, wonderful work!

Does that "blue cross" thing at the entrance light up?
