The Vintage Collection / Re: Recent Vintage Collection Purchases

If you ever played that game, you might agree that it was where the game's designers probably should've been buried, too.

I keep forgetting they even made a new Tarkin. Oh, yeah...they remade him.

Here's hoping for Meebur Gascon mission briefing scenes.  :D

Carded pics of 4 of them at the 'Scum.

I've passed up 2011 Legends Shock Troopers for $4.99 at Marshalls...so why pay $6 for a 70's articulated one? Same with Super Battle Droid.

Yeah, yeah,...these are for the kids. Not the ones who stopped watching clone wars, who'd rather text and play video games. These are for ones barely out of diapers, since the kiddie aimed lines never take off (or get axed once they exhaust the characters, like Galactic Heroes) so make realistic figures that tots can't trash quickly.

Even knowing that, that astro droid is still lame. In 1995 they could give R2 his center leg without articulating his feet.

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: Black Series Rumors

Maybe the Theed figure will be a re-do of this guy, thus pleasing the one guy on the planet who liked the original.

That was a worse figure than it should've been for the time with a strangely tiny head, decent articulation on paper...that was in reality limited by bad designs (knees that don't bend in enough, shoulders buried in torso), and outdated (oversized) weapon.

But it'll be the dark skinned Naboo pilot.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series Rumors

I predict first Vader will appear in some sort of exclusive that will annoy fans.

Greedo? Really? Before C-3PO? Chewbacca?

Fan anticipation going...unless the line gets canned early and the folks will wonder "where were C-3PO, Chewbacca and Yoda?"

Some TJ Maxx and Marshalls are marking down the deluxe Avengers they have to $5.00, if anyone is army building Chitauri. Of course, the mark downs aren't universal.

At TJ Maxx/Marshalls I got 2 Destroyer Droids and 2 Super Battle Droids for $3 each. One store had another SBD for $4...HA! No, thanks. And the same store had another for $4.99. Other figures were still $4.99, someone realized separatist troops are undesirable?

Now, it's "we're going to hold it close to the vest until we reach 4000 Facebook likes. "  Okay, whatever.  Is there that many collectors still collecting?  :P

Plageius flies in face of what I thought was a movies only  plan on this series.

Mara Jade?

She was planned as a Droid Factory release before the Black Series change-up, and Hasbro knew fans would be furious if the fan's choice figure wasn't a retail release.

This list is based on what information? At this point I gotta wonder.

Didn't they make Vizam already, maybe not ideally...but unmade skiff guards should take priority over 90's do-overs.

Plageius flies in face of what I thought was a movies only  plan on this series.

All new Stormtrooper or Snowtrooper sculpts that will be like the current clones and look strange next to what we've been buying for years? Or just rehashed stuff? There's room for improvement, to be sure.

Darth Vader sounds like the most believable thing on that list.  :P

Honestly, the choices aren't bad, but the list is half boring. I don't even care about redoing all the movie clones. They've had a few tries to get the 41st one right and blew it.

Are Non and Ursa in it too?

That's a serious question!

Faora, whom Ursa was more or less based on, is in the film.

I'd already forgot this was coming.  It'll be a Target exclusive in the USA.

At least they reissued a somewhat desired Darth Sidious (inaccurate for the scene, but so is a lightsaber brandishing Vader).

Another chance at that Vader for those who missed him.

The current Shock Trooper mold. (Hasbro loves Shock Troopers)

I'd almost be on board if I didn't already have that Sidious and if they included FX-6 instead of chopper droid. Actually I never got either droid, but FX-6 looks cooler.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Star Trek

It would've amounted to figures of Spock, Kirk, Johnny Harrison and maybe Bones.

Reminds me of the old Ertl ST3 figures I had, all they made were Kirk, Spock (barely in the movie), Scotty and Kruge (the Klingon).  Just those 4 characters, no McCoy even. But they were fun figures, brittle hands, though.

After last year I doubt that the stores would have stocked vintage if they had stuck with it.

Probably true. Collectors forget that the retailers have an influence over packaging. There's a reason for the constant packaging changes.  Vintage was the longest running packaging since Saga 1.
