I am interested to see if they give the AT-AT an Endor deco and what it will look like.  It's been awhile since the Falcon came out.  I guess they are not detoured by the ones that went on cleareance?

I would not say any of these figures are 'Must" buys for me, but I still like how they all turned out.  Vader looks much better than I thought he would.  I actually want the clonetroopers.  Leia looks like a nice update from previous versions.  Jar-Jar actually looks decent.  I'm a sucker for Sandtroopers especially orange pauldron versions.  Is Prune Face in this wave?

If the series ever even gets made.  They can say "it's like this and like that" all they want but they have not even started casting or filmsin.  Yeah, they have "scripts" that will be changed a bazillion times until they finally start on this thing.  I don't hang on much of anything that Rick says.

Yeah, this would be way to much of a pain for what it is.  I like astromech droids but not that much.

My rundown goes like this...

CW Anakin - I'm personally not a fan of animated going to realistic.  But part of the reason I don't care for this particular Anakin is his outfit.  I don't like it in the CW show and it looks even worse to me as a "realistic" figure.   But that's me.  I get why they are doing these.  It's another way to sell main characters in a "new" and "fresh" manner.   There is a segment of the collecting community that always wanted the animated figures to be realistic to begin with and scrap animated figures alltogether.  This way everyone wins.   I'm not really into the look though.  It just looks off to me.

Darth Malgus - The more I look at the figure the more I want to play the video game.  I'm not shelling out $50-$60 for the game anytime soon though.  My 7 year old just wants the figure.  I love the cardback.  I will get this mainly for my son.  I think it will be a popular character for a long time.

Darth Vader - I will end up getting him for the Star Wars cardback.

Luke Hoth - I hate the shoulders.  I'm not real happy with the slashed belly look.  It's not a great figure but certainly good enough.  I love the cardback.  Another buy one and keep one on the cardback for me.

Imperial Naval Commander - Horrible, horrible name on the cardback.  However, this is probably the closest I will get to a Death Squad Commander type of SW cardback.  I don't think they are going to release a grey version unless it's a convention exclusive.  I'm getting at least one for the cardback.  Hopefully a few others for display purposes.    It makes that 30th annivesary version look really poor now.  I kind of hope they do another variant though. They can call that one Imperial Naval Trooper  ::)

TV-9D9 / Re: The Clone Wars - Season Four Discussion Thread

I actually liked the last 2 episodes myself.  Actually the past 4 or 5.  I was getting a bit bored there until they started hyping up Maul's return.  I know it's the Clone Wars but I got a bit tired of the clones, clones, clones, and quit watching this show for quite awhile.  I liked the break from the clones to.  I don't mind a bad character like Asajj turning good for once either.  I hope the show sticks around at least 2 more season.  Then they can get that live-action TV series going hopefully sooner rather than later.  But with Lucas at the helm it will probably be 10 more years at least.

1) Cliegg Lars
2) Pablo Jill
3) Padme (Lake Retreat Rainbow Dress)
4) Padme (Picnic)
5) Sarissa Jeng
6) Jocasta Nu
7) Anakin Skywalker (Arena - SA)
8) Padme (Arena SA with scratched back)
9) Young Boba Fett
10) Count Dooku (I'd like a new one on a Vintage cardback)

I am probably up for any Arena Jedi with the SA treatment.

I mainly just want the set for Teebo, Wunka, and Corpsey.  The other 2 will fit in nicely to the growing Ewok villagers.  I am ready for that Pilots set to, but the Ewoks kind of steal the show IMO.  I hope we get some more info and pics soon.

I have not found anything either.  Naturally.  I  finally found a Maul though.  But that is for another thread.  I have to get Lando, Leia and Luke.  It's a pre-requisite.  You get kicked out of the hobby if you don't get them  ;D

The only figures I bought from this wave were Ric Olie, Naboo Pilot, Gungan Warrior, Mawkhonic, and G8-R3.  I never saw the Droids Battlepack.  I don't remember seeing the Pod Racers either.  I was going to get the Racers for the Flags but that temptation went away.   I do think the flags were good accesories those since we'll never get any new Pod Racer vehicles.  I am waiting to buy Aura Sing and Jar-Jar Binks for the vinty cardbacks.  I may or may not for some of the others.  I mainly just wanted Maul, Kenobi, and Jinn for the vintage cardbacks.  I may get Anakin Padawan, Sidious, and the Battle Droid though.

My son does want the light-up saber figures.  I have been looking for that wave but have not seen it yet.  To bad they did not upgrade Padme Theed Battle to SA.  I would have snatched that up along with a new Panaka.  Oh well!

I sort of agree with Jeff.  However, I am primarily tired of ROTS Clonetrooper figures.  I'm fine with AOTC because we have not had as many of those since The EE 4 packs.  I like the clonetroopers from ROTS but I am just burnt out from all of the repacks of them since 2005.  I know they have upgrades over the years but who does not have a Shocktrooper, 501st, Utapau, and white-generic armies by now?  Between regular releases, movie heroes, and battle-packs we should be all caught up and then some by now.  I suppose new collectors  or those that don't care for clonetroopers in the past might want to pursue them. I just want a break from that style.  I know it has some sort of fancy name like "Phase 2" or something like that.

I am actually looking forward to the inevitable Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red AOTC style clonetroopers.  I would not mind upgrades to Bly and Baccarra either but maybe not until the end of next year or when the ROTS comes out in 3D.  If they are still planning to release the films each year that is.

The Vintage Collection / Re: The Future of Star Wars Collecting?

I don't think it will disappear from the toy aisles.  They probably do need to scale down a bit though.  Especially with the insane prices.  That's been my gripe for a long time now.  Thirty dollar vehicles that not too long ago where $20-25?  $10 figures?  That may be okay for a limited set of figures but when you get 15-20 TPM figures mixed with movie heroes and Clone Wars.  No wonder they don't sell all that well.

1) Tey How (Especially since Dofine turned out so well!)
2) Nute Guntray
3) Kitster/Wald 2 pack
4) Naboo Security Guard (Yellow/Brown uniform)
5) New Watto/Weazel 2 pack (just think Watto needs updated)
6) C-3PO Updated (Don't include snap on coverings please!)
7) Pk Droids
8) SA Anakin w/ Nabool Helmet and Podracer Helmet (I know the outfits are a bit different with the race with the wrappings but just 1 Sculpt either way is fine with me)
9) New Captain Tarpals
10) Padme - SA version of the Theed Battle.

Of course I want the ET senator but doubt that will ever happen.

It's not free at all.    We all chipped in a $7 check and not to mention the 4-5 figures we all had to buy to get it.  The jag-offs in the mail department should be able to get the damn product to collectors in decent condition.    I don't think it's too much for collectors to ask for that after shelling out the money for it.  If it's going to arrive in bad condition then I would just rather buy it in the stores.  That way I don't have to wait 3 months for it to arrive in a beat up mailer box either.
