The Disney Exclusive Jedi Mickey Mouse & R2-MK 2-Pack will retail for $18.95 and should hit the parks in April 2010.

It'd be cool to know if the ears came off. If they did, it'd be a wild paintjob for an astromech.

Incrediablly lame. I guess this is the droid they show on imagineer's desk that is working on Star Tours 2. I too would remove the ears. According to the EndorExpress.net, the ears are removeable.

I think it's okay, and even better knowing the ears are removable. It's the $20 price tag I'm not a fan of. I get exclusives cost more, but what kind of profit are they making on this? 800%? I'm a little tired of paying ridiculous prices for exclusives, especially when it's a half-sized figure with almost no articulation. Unless the price comes down, it's an easy pass for me.

Kinda lame IMO - but I'm diggin the droid if the ears are in fact removable. Way too expensive though, but it's Disney so yeah...

I wonder if Hasbro is in error-- on the JD Q&A (http://www.jedidefender.com/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1265233736,27367,) this week, Hasbro says it's not their figure, but the official site (http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/news20100118.html) explicitly states it is a Hasbro product, the droid is clearly a Hasbro mold, and the previous Jedi Mickey & Yoda set (which I have on my desk) is labeled Hasbro. (So I wonder if Hasbro's brand is slapped on Disney items or what.)

Yeah, wth? The droid is awesome and clearly an action figure and not a ceramic statue or something. I need that droid!

Nice, I just got back from Disney, too bad about the timing, this would have been fun to pick up. I wonder what the distribution for this would be like in the parks (some Star Wars/Disney stuff you can find throughout the parks and hotels, but other stuff you can only get outside Star Tours). Maybe I'll be able to convince my parents to take a ride over to Downtown Disney and go through the toy store they have (its basically all Hasbro stuff...)

I went there over break (I am a teacher) and I kid you not all they had were 2 pegs full of Yarna and a peg filled with Leia/Xizor comic packs.

Yup. And the basic figs were $9.99 if I recall (or was it $11.99?). They did have the whole line of Disney themed Star Wars characters though. I can't recall all of them but I bought the Chip and Dale as Ewoks set. I think Donald was a Stormtrooper, Goofy was Vader, etc. So hopefully the McR2 :) will be easy to find.

The Star Trader at Disneyland has the Mickey/ R2-MK two pack for $18.95. I'll be going next week to pick these up for those that PMed me.

Please remember, if you have me pick these up for you, you can't tell me that someone else picked one up for you. Your still getting it. I can't return these. It's a pain the butt to pick these up at DL.

Okay cool. So about $20.50 should cover the set itself (tax included). I'm not sure about shipping though. Should I just send you an amount that is a rough estimate? (If it's not enough then I'll send a second payment, if it's too much will you send the difference as either a refund via Paypal, or in the box with the figures?)

I picked one of these ups on eBay for $29.95 shipped. So I really did not over pay by much when you count shipping. That makes me happy!

Here is some up close pictures of R2-MK and Mickey. The R2 has large peg holes and the head turns to bring down the third leg. The hat has the Jedi logo on it and has R2-MK written on it. Mickey's arms and head moves. The outer cape comes off. The base says "Star Tours" on it with two large pegs on it.
